RPG Maker 95[]

RPG Maker 95 (RPGツクール95, Ārupījī Tsukūru Kyūjūgo) is the first RPG Maker program for Microsoft Windows which was released in 1997. It was only released in Japan, where it is known as RPG Tsukuru 95.

RPG Maker 2000[]

RPG Maker 2000 is an RPG Maker program for Microsoft Windows which was released in 2000. It is the first program in the series to include the Database, an all in one editor for characters, enemies, game terms, item stats, and more.

RPG Maker 2003[]

RPG Maker 2003 is an RPG Maker program for Microsoft Windows which was released in 2002. Noticeable changes include a side view battle system, a class system, and the ability to allow characters to reach level 99 instead of only 50.

RPG Maker XP[]

RPG Maker XP is an RPG Maker program for Microsoft Windows which was released in 2005. Notable improvements include the introduction of scripting, unlimited colors for images, and a greater default resolution of 640x480.

RPG Maker VX[]

RPG Maker VX is an RPG Maker program for Microsoft Windows which was released in 2007. Noticeable changes include a more blocky art style, the heavy reliance on auto-tiles, only one tileset being usable, as well as a lower default resolution.

RPG Maker VX Ace[]

RPG Maker VX Ace is an RPG Maker program for Microsoft Windows which was released in 2012. Noticeable improvements include multiple tilesets being usable again, and a character generator.

RPG Maker MV[]

RPG Maker MV is an RPG Maker program for Microsoft Windows which was released in 2015. Noticeable improvements include a higher resolution for tilesets, the use of plugins instead of scripts, and the return of the side view battle system. In 2020, it was released for Nintendo Switch as well.

RPG Maker MZ[]

RPG Maker MZ is the most recent RPG Maker program for Microsoft Windows which was released on August of 2020. Apparent improvements include the return of custom layering, an event list for maps, and a new system for animations.

RPG Maker[]

RPG Maker (RPGツクール3, RPG Tsukūru 3) is the first PlayStation RPG Maker game. It was released in Japan on November 27, 1997, and in North America on October 2, 2000.

RPG Maker 2

RPG Maker 2 (RPGツクール5, RPG Tsukūru 5) is the third PlayStation version of the RPG Maker series, following RPG Maker (and the Japan-only RPG Tsukūru 4), the first version of the series to be released for the PlayStation 2 and the overall fifth installment for home consoles. Later, RPG Maker 3 would be released, becoming the second game in the series for PlayStation 2.

RPG Maker 3

RPG Maker 3 (RPGツクール, RPG Tsukūru, without a number) is the fourth PlayStation version of the RPG Makerseries. It is the second game in the series released on the PlayStation 2. The game was also released on the PlayStation 3 on April 16, 2013 through the PlayStation Network.
