Fantasia: Surreal Cosmic Progeny is a third-person shooter and visual novel currently in development. The thriller-esque narrative-focused game is created by a development team within the Crazy Chimp Collective known as the Seventh Heaven. Older versions of the game still have remnants of Corporation XVI- the discarded brand after the team rebranded to the Seventh Heaven in mid-2018. While the official name is Fantasia: Surreal Cosmic Progeny- it often gets shortened to Fantasia or just 'Fanta'.

Summary[]

The game centers around three mature sisters of varying age, who find themselves amidst a conspiracy and a battle for existence itself. The game has four playable characters, three of which can be switched between during battles on the fly, however the fourth: Sacreblu- is reserved only as an emergency second wind. The gameplay has a mix of dialogue and puzzle-solving mixed among bullet-hell worthy top-down shooter segments. Fantasia uses a heavily optimized and largely altered version of the Perseverance engine, and flows much faster and more hack-n-slashy, compared to the more grounded weight of PFC's combat. The game has five proposed acts, or "disks" in the games nomenclature- however only three have been made playable so far.

Story[]

Before the Game[]

Shortly after the events of Intelligence 314th Clash, Yasondre- the demigoddess of life- is contacted by one who calls herself the Insidious Architect (IA), and ordered to create three children who she would raise to maturity with someone dependable. Yasondre chose Kyoshi for the task. Once the eldest was four years old, IA returned to implant a Demon of Ultimate Influence (shorthand- DENUI) to keep the sisters obedient and under IA's control. Yasondre in moral outrage exorcises the DENUI from the girls, IA punishes her by sending her to a realm of no return, leaving Kyoshi heartbroken and her daughters motherless. A few days have passed, when Kyoshi is given a means to bring Yasondre back into his reality, but it would take 14 years- by the time Yasondre could return, her daughters will have lived to maturity having never known much of her. At age 5, Lumi is noticed for her investigative talent and penchant for justice- and is enlisted into the Vahnus Island Police Department 10 years before is usually legal. Lumi is willing to accept the task and devotes half of her life to the pursuit of Justice, needing a distraction from learning that all she thought was real was a lie. At age 7, Koko has an awful experience that is so terrible she wipes it from her memory- or suppresses it, rather. At age 8, Lilac in her naivety, eats a water lily, which makes her terminally ill. She kills two doctors in revenge for immoral behavior, before collapsing. Kyoshi as a lich- gifts her life through undeath... a miserable existence- but one made bearable thanks to her sisters. The game starts 21 Years after the 314th Clash has concluded in 2112- making the game events begin in 2133.

Disk 0: Zero-Sum Solar Existential Apocalypse[]

This disk is broken up into seven days the girls spend on VAHNUS before a critical event occurs. The world name of Vahnus and the seven days is a phonetic reference to the cult of Seventh Day Adventist. The seven day formula is used to introduce each major character, the world, the plot and then finally the climax.

Day 1: Apocalypse Prophet[]

The day starts with one of the protagonists, Koko Spiral- having a pecuilar dream where a bizarre man of short stature informs her that he misses his sister and that she would soon be a vital part of a Prophecy, ensuring her it would be the only way to ensure surreal cosmic progeny.

After waking up, she walks over to her window and looks up at the glowing ball of flames in the sky, and we see the World of Vahnus as noticably small earth-like planet. After enjoying her sungazing, she states how weird the dream was, and also notices the sun seems to be smaller than usual. Koko's motif is the sun and her tarot is also that of XIX The Sun- so it is not surprising she notices.

Before she can get too lost on those thoughts, her online messenger starts beeping off from the computer nearby and the two other protagonists ask nicely and then more or less blackmail her to come and play with them at the beach. Disgruntled but unable to really say no, Koko heads out to meet with her sisters, with Kyoshi speaking to her on the way out, who she asks if he's noticed the sun has been less potent. He simply responds that he hasn't really had the novelty of checking due to him busting his leg while working on the Lighthouse.

Lumi and Lilac eagerly await Koko, and while Koko isn't too happy to be here against her will, she eventually gets past her grievances and plays a game both with Lumi and Lilac. She does hold Lilac to account for blackmailing her, to which Lumi admits she asked Lilac to do so because she disliked excluding Koko, being touched by Lumi's desire to include her, Koko swears an oath to not be so stubborn next time. She also mentions the sun's state, to which Lumi doesn't want to believe it, and Lilac coyly dismisses it.

The three girls return home to a jovial Kyoshi, who offers to make them a barbecue feast, it's implied heavily that Kyoshi is around less than they'd like. He also implores they keep clear of the vending machine in the dining room as it has been acting up lately and might be dangerous. he rushes off, seemingly his leg is all fixed up, but Lumi asserts he probably just wanted some time off. Lumi convinces Lilac to let them see her room, stating that they hadn't seen it ever, and after some adorable pleading, Lilac agrees, on the condition they don't touch anything.Once done, they go and eat, during which Kyoshi calls out Koko for bruising Lumi, and Lumi and Lilac quickly try to take some of the blame, stating that while Koko's actions were on her mark, they were partially responsible for it happening. Kyoshi remarks that its rare for sisters to be so close as they are. He also reveals that tomorrow can be a family day, since he got another day off of work, though this is in contrast with him having to be out the next few days due to the process of installing a reactor core.

They go to bed shortly after. Another dream sequence takes place, where Lumi is visited by Lilac and Lilac states that she might find out sooner than safe why she is so secretive.

Day 2: The Family Day Out[]

Lumi wakes up and walks briskly outside to meet with her sisters and Kyoshi, they first visit the Jehovah Rainforest, which Koko and Lilac admit they used to play hide n' seek and other such games at years ago before they both kind of stopped, with Lilac admitting this distance was more created by her than Koko. Lumi enters a nearby tent and to her shock finds a dead body. As she's talking aloud to herself about it, a voice is heard, one with an ominous air to it. Lumi asks the person to reveal themselves, and it gladly agrees, seemingly warping reality, time and space before appearing in front of Lumi. The girl does not reveal her identity, only that she's watching and that the murderer was someone dear to Lumi.

The abberation leaves in a much less dramatic manner, with Lumi questioning if she was even real or if she was just losing the plot for some reason.

Lumi walks back outside the tent, and decides to not tell anyone of the dead body or the horrid thing she witnessed- her justication being it would ruin the family day out and that its for the authorities to handle anyway, making a note to inform the police she worked with the next day. Kyoshi, Lilac and Koko have moved a ways, with Kyoshi in a very melancholic mood, and reveals he misses someone. When asked who, he is uncharactersitically secretive on the matter. Lilac also seems to have a bit of a mixed bag of memories of this forest, and asks they carry on to their next destination.

They head over to The Treehouse north of the beach from Day 1, it being implied the treehouse was a hideaway of Kyoshi's. While Lumi and Lilac talk about their dreams and Lumi susses out that lilac and Lumi did have the same one, Lilac simply asks Lumi not to change, stating she was the glue thats kept them together. They then enter the tree house and Lumi finds some clues, which Lilac insists she pockets so Koko has something to obsess about.

Meanwhile, Koko gets done with her test on the suns potency, and feels a bizarre need to investigate a particular spot. Upon doing so, she stumbles upon the same menace Lumi encountered in the tent back in the rainforest. This time, the menace reveals not her name, but a title: The Insidious Architect.

Koko is terrified but because fear is the trait which makes her strong, she is able to stomach the courage to fight IA, IA is amused by the rare display of bravery, and accepts... the duel between them goes about as well as one might expect, with Koko getting absolutely wiped. IA spares her and says to hone those skills so she may crush her bravery underfoot later. Koko retreats to the treehouse, choosing like Lumi not to say anything about the encounter... as one whose credibility was already at risk, she didn't wish to bring up some unbelievable entity she could barely comprehend. Instead, she gets invested in Lilac and Lumi's surprise for her, a new mystery to solve. A sort of journal and some production notes. Koko states she'll need time and preparation and to diagnoze them carefully, Lilac and Lumi respect the ask and after going home, Lumi heads quickly to bed as her Night shift begins in mere hours, and Lilac warmly thanks Koko for being there, and asks her to be there likewise in the future. Koko realizes at this point Lilac is less of a bully like she imagined and more just a big sister who wanted to see her succeed, even if her ways of showing it were weird. Lilac retreats as well to leave Koko to her new case.

Lumi is dreaming again, Lilac is seen to be the one she's talking to, but later its shown that something far more malicious has made itself known to Lumi. The biggest takeaway from the exchange is that "All is already lost."

Day 3: Night Shift of Justice

Lumi awakes at night, and while she intended to inform Officer Waffles about the incident in the tent, she's already got an emergency ot lend a hand with, the Bat-fanged Carson serial killer is striking again, with Waffles requesting backup as soon as possible, Lumi states she'll be there in roughly three minutes and fourteen seconds.

This "Day" is more at the late of night, which plays into Lumi's motif of the moon and the general direction being based on her tarot being XI JUSTICE. She quickly heads to the City and arrives too late, the Bat-fanged Carson taunts her and says this would be more enjoyable without the loud rabble, and invites Lumi to meet her atop the skyscraper she stands on. Lumi utilizes her rabbit hopping abilities and some CONVENIENTLY POSITION BILLBOARDS to reach the location. The Bat-fanged Carson asks Lumi what she thought Justice meant, and what good the law is if it can't divine what is right and wrong, but only what is lawful and unlawful. Lumi answers her to the best of her ability, but knows the bat-fanged Carson is just playing mind games, they fight, and regardless of if Lumi wins or loses, the bat-fanged Carson teases her to chase her a bit more, Lumi obliges.

After chasing down the Carson through a closed mall, she corners the Carson, but before she can go to arrest her, the Carson drops Lumi's name while asking if she's sure she wants to do that.

Its revealed that the Bat-fanged Carson is Lilac, and that she's been killing people to feed from their live blood in order to sustain her own existence.Lumi is horrified and while she doesn't like it, decides that if she can't hold Lilac to account, then she has no business being a polcie officer, and throws her badge down into a nearby pool of blood. This is to let the police force think she died during the pursuit of the carson, setting them both free from the law.

They head home after reconciling, and Lilac has a dream where she speaks to her ENNUI Mahlat.

Day 4: Sanguine Ferocious Cataclysm[]

Lilac awakes to the dusk, having presumably stayed up until morning and slept through the whole day. She is understandably hungry, and equips her disguise robe and begins searching for prey. She lands up[on the Lighthouse grounds, where she finds three criminals and another more unusual presence, who with a spell of some kind destroys the robes she is wearing, and the criminals turns around to see not the Bat-fanged Carson, but Lilac. The criminals are entirely unaware of IA's presence, but Lilac can see her clear as day. After the criminals try to teach Lilac some manners, they die in the attempt, and Lilac feeds from them before confronting IA. Unliek with Koko who's bravery was able to stand up to IA's aura of terror, Lilac starts out weary. Before she can interrogate IA about the bizarre scenario, another criminal enters the scene, who Lilac simply refers to as Purple Man.

It's not until she thinks about it a bit that she realizes this is one of the people she let get away, and decides after Purple Man's insistence that she'd finish what she started. Purple Man is revealed to be a "Captain" Nelson, someone Lilac decided to terminate under the grounds of him being a schoolgirl stalking pedophile. After a duel where Lilac more or less has the complete upperhand, IA steps in to erase the man herself, stating such trash is better off not existing at all, this also served the purpose of making Lilac aware of the existence of the ability to erase someone on the spot. Lilac feels real fear for the first time in a decade and isn't sure how to process it. She more or less asks IA to leave her alone, and IA complies due to being either amused or endeared by Lilac's politeness. After regaining her composure, Lumi calls Lilac on her cell-phone, and asks she come back home as she found something horrid. At first concerned IA had gone to harrass Lumi, Lilac quickly asks if its a dragon-liek girl with triangle eyes, Lumi quickly rejects this claim, saying its something about Dad. Lilac calms down and states she'll be right there. She arrives in Lumi's room and Lumi reveals that Kyoshi might be up to something big, and starts getting hysterical, Lilac calms her down and asks if Koko is around. Lumi reveals she's tuckered out and is sleeping, lilely due to the new case they'd given her. Lilac relaxes and says they should sleep to and deal with it in the morning, Lumi agrees and they both go to bed.

Lilac dreams again, and this time she meets Koko, she with some hesitation, goes to tell Koko about her secret identity as a vampiure, to which Koko reveals she'd more or less already sussed that out, and admits she just had to not say anything since she didn't want to cause Lumi and Lilac's relationship to deteriorate and Lumi may not believe her, anyway. Lilac informs Koko of what Lumi found, and they both finish sleeping.

Day 5: My Lifeblood[]

Koko wakes up and despite being morning with clearsky, it feels like its overcast and dimly lit. The sun having shrunk is no longer anything but reality. She quickly remembers the dream and goes out to her hallway, and Lumi comes out to meet her, asking she comes in immediately. Koko obliges and once she interacts with a box of papers, the event begins. Lumi reveals she found it while rummaging under his bed. When Koko asks why Lumi says its not important and shows Koko what actually is.

KYOSHI LEONOVA DEAD?

A headline in an old issue of the Vahnus Prophetica (A locally sourced newspaper) reveals Kyoshi is confirmed missing fourteen years ago, and along with him vanished his three daughters and wife. This completely flips Koko's investigation on its head, with them later finding out Kyoshi might have purposefully escaped his public life due to him being having been considered a suspect of criminal activity, including theft of government property.

From the clippings and writ Koko was handed in day two, she is able to put a lot together. Fristly, that the three of them are created, to the point that even their garments were designed for them, and held something (meaning the ENNUI). Lumi asks if that is even possible, Koko states that kyoshi knows how to do a lot of technologically crazy stuff, so its not actually out of the realm of possibility. This is also when they discover Kyoshi's plans to build a trans-reality gateway, to which Lumi asks where one could even hide such a thing. Lilac recalls how he said not to go near the vending machine in Day one, and notions they start their investigation there.

Lumi presses some random buttons on the machine and it folds away, revealing a dimly-lit stairwell. Lilac takes the position in front, asking her sisters to stay behind her. They descend down the stairwell and find themselves upon an underground lab. A large forcefield bars a large section of it, and they go around the lab pulling levers to deactivate it. During this they discover four creature holding pods, which they presume is what they were created in.

After bringing down the forcefield, a large electronic drone is head as a sci-fi bridge of pulsing glyphs activates in front of them, with sparks of electricity shooting around and a rumbling sound eminating from the bowels of the lab. They figure this means they don't have much time, and after opening the second defence system, they find themselves upon an ominous floating prism in the shape of a triangle with a large hole in its centre, which likely functions as the portal for the gateway. Using the instructions from Kyoshi's manuals, Koko states they have to activate the three levels on each end of the platform before they can activate the emergency shutdown switch in the center. just as Koko is about to press the emergency shutdown level, Kyoshi yells at her "NO, DON'T!" and Koko pauses, and interrogates Kyoshi, he pleads that she just listen before she does such a thing. Just as he's about to explain, a large gamma burst from the portals activation procedure rocks the very foundation of the lab, and large thick vines extend from the portal, harmlessly but forcefully getting Koko clear of the shutdown button. Lumi is only held up by her ankle and is within reach of the button. Koko desperately pleads her to press it, considering the power of this machine might tear the world apart, with Kyoshi asking her to look inside and ask if he would ever do something so unconscionable. Koko and Kyoshi go back and forth before Lumi decides to put her trust in Kyoshi, apologizing to Koko in the case this does mean the end of them. Shortly after a blinding light emerges from the gateways portal and a woman with eight leaves fanning outward from her back emerges from the portal, after which it quickly powers itself down the bines have now retreated, gently dropping Koko, Lilac and Lumi to the ground. the mysterious leaf-winged girl walks towards a framed photograph and holds it in front of her face, revealing herself to be the woman from the photo. Kyoshi adds that she is there mother... kind of. In response, Lumi faints on the spot.

Day 6: My Sunshine[]

Koko plucks up the courage to speak with the woman from the photo, who is Yasondre. She reveals herself to technically be their mother, having crafted them from her own lifeblood at IA's command. Kyoshi reveals he'd been working on this plan to bring her back for fourteen years, and Koko immediately apologizes for almost ruining it. Kyoshi accepts that its his fault for not lying well enough. Yasondre states that if Kyoshi had told them, or anyone, it would have never been able to happen due to the watchful eyes of the one who imprisoned her. before long, Koko, Lumi and Lilac reveal they know who she's talking about, and both her and Kyoshi are mortified to know IA had been interacting with them. They go upstairs to get out of the eerie atmosphere of the lab.

At the dinner table, Yasondre reveals it was IA that imprisoned her in that place so long ago, and Lilac reveals that the reason she is a vampire is due to dying ten years ago due to eating a water lily, which are fatally poisonous.

The doctors mocked Lilac and her father for being irresponsible, with Lilac awakening her ENNUI Mahlat to bring not justice, but punishment upon the doctors who laughed at her death, she kills them both... and asks Kyoshi tells her sisters she loves them. Kyoshi reveals that he's the one who is responsible for her undeath, and as a Lich is able to transform her into a vampire, which Lilac knew of already, but they had kept that between themselves. Yasondre asks Lilac if she'd like to be among the living again, stating that only if she'd been to the tribunal of afterlives that she was beyond her ability to revive. Lilac says she'd like that, in with a snap Lilac's vampirism and undeath is cured. She thanks yasondre, who says merely to consider it some compensation for her being away so much of their lives. Koko then reveals to Yasondre that the sun is shrinking, to which Yasondre asks if she'd show her, but reveals she can't do much about it, as she's an Aspect of life, so manipulating balls of fire isn't exactly in list of abilities.

They go to the usual spot that Lumi, Lilac and Koko played at during the First day, but there is an ominous blue glow in the sky, Kyoshi has sussed out their about to be met by IA. And Lumi sits beside him to brace for her arrival.

Yet again, time, space and reality warps as she makes a dramatic entrance. This is the first time we see IA without a hood on, and her triangle eyes are fully visible. She reveals that while Yasondre and Kyoshi should both be punished, she doesn't wish to set a bad example for the girls, and so elects to grant them mercy. IA reveals the girls were groomed to become the goddess of the cosmos, and that this fate is sealed. Lilac asks why she fears IA so much, to which IA reveals she was the blue bug that guided Lilac to eating the water Lily to begin with, which she says was a test to see how devoted Kyoshi would be in his quest to keep her alive, and admits he blew her expectation out of the park. She also reveals that Lilac and all else fear her for the same reason anyone should, she is the embodiment of terror, fearing her is the natural order of things as she commands the very aspect of fear.

She gives the girls, Kyoshi and Yasondre the final day to enjoy themselves as a family, before shuffling off. The girls deduce that she's basically just enslaving them, to which Yasondre states she's not going to get what she wants, and gets Kyoshi to contact her sister who IA confirmed was still missing. What this meant is that Yasondre' sister Blu: The Aspect of Intelligence, had been able to evade IA and so was able to get them out of dodge.

When Lumi asks what Yasondre was doing, she simply stated that she was beginning a revolution.

Day 7: Scarlet Sun Supernova[]

Lumi wakes up and goes outside to meet her family. The world of VAHNUS is now in the midst of a cataclysm, where the oceans once were, there is now just a void of light, and the island once homey atmosphere has become jarring and tinted in oranges and purples. The sun overhead has gone supernova, yet while it threatens to engulf the world any instant, it seems to be paused indefinitely in a bubble of stasis. As they go to the Usual Spot once more, the girls realize they might have to fight IA for their right to freedom, with Koko saying she'd sooner be erased than let her existence be controlled by another. IA reveals that such a duel is pointless, as she had no reason to bargain with them. They were already hers, and were trapped into this destiny. However, she admits reinstalling the DENUI Yasondre removed would be easier to do if they were too exhausted to fight back, and plays along, stating that the outcome wont change, but maybe she'll give them a gift in the freakishly unlikely chance they managed to break down her energy shields. She also reveals that the sun was paused by her from going further into its supernova, and she would let it resume once she had what she wanted.

After a climactic fight, win or lose- IA threatens Yasondre and Kyoshi to step back and let her do as she would, they oblige, but do so only knowing this won't go as IA hopes. As IA is charging up a spell, likely a metaphor for running the DENUI installer, a small trianglular effect bounches in front of IAs sight and she looks to see a pitch black girl in a white hooded robe tell her she picks her opportunities poorly. another couple characters show up, one introducing herself as Esperia frostwhisper, the other as Fyori Felicee. Being distracted, IA interrogates them, but finds herself getting blasted about by a surprise attack from Fyori and later Esperia, giving the white hooded girl time to summon a portal which Kyoshi, Yasondre and the three girls can escape through. once IA realizes what is going on, she kicks the white-hooded girl, sending her into the sand, but she stands up unharmed, which helps IA realize she had an invicinble body, and asks how she was wearing the body of a God. the white-hooded girl simply notions that it is interesting, huh? And then vanishes with the same triangular effect she entered in, followed by Fyori, while Esperia sticks around a bit longer to taunt IA, who in response goes to kick Esperia, but she teleports out in the last second, leaving Yi with lots of questions. She unpauses the supernova of Vahnus' sun, letting the planet be entirely disintergrated. This ends Disk 0.

INTERMISSION[]

Between Disk 0 and Disk 1, we see the game blue screen, outside of the players control, the system is rebooted with some ominous processes being shown during the revoot process, with it then opening to an alien desktop they don't recognize, and with a mouse cursor going over to a desktop shortcut for PROJECT YHWH. Upon being launched, a fullscreen application shows, with an error displaying that Disk 1 is corrupted due to MAMIX.sys not being found, and asks if they would continue anyway. An unusual typeface font puts itself in and says Y E S.

It then boots some values and shows a concerning END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT which slowly scrolls up the screen before it is interrupted by static.

It is through this static that the same strange person from Koko's dream in Day 1 talks to the player directly. He states that he has taken hold of their session so they may not show signs of panic, and states they will understand why in time. he asks that they guide them and give them hope, while he works to undermine the twins' efforts and bring about the only plausibly decent conclusion to this game of chess. before he can finish, he's interrupted by the system overriding his interference, and finally Project YHWH boots as an ominous explosion rumbles in the background, the meaning or relevance of which is still unclear.

Disk 1: Mirrorview of Immaterial Esoteric Law[]

The disk opens with the white hooded girl revealing herself to Lumi, she introduces herself as Sacreblu, and reveals she is at present the de facto goddess of the universe. Lumi asks whats going on, but Sacreblu insists she wakes up so she doesn't have to go into it more than once. Once Lumi wakes up, she finds herself upon a Star-faring vessel, and speaking ot Sacreblu, its revealed to be the Starship YHWH. Sacreblu states that before they get into what she has in mind for the girls to help with, that Lumi should take a look outside her window, where Lumi is awed to see a blue sun, a large gas planet and a very large earth-like planet which Sacreblu reveals to be the Blue Sun, Gaseous and Haven respectively. She then informs the three girls of her plans to save the cosmos utilizing the Vahnus prophecy, and with 22 people who represent the iconic motifs presented in a triangular spellcircle, they would be able to reappend administration of the cosmos and dismatnle the hold of the twins, one of which is IA.

She says to meet her on the bridge when they're ready and to give it some thought.

The girls decide to help Sacreblu, mostly because it sounds like if they don't, everything will be deleted before long. Pleased, Sacreblu commands the Starship to travel to Planet Earth in the Milky Way Galaxy, where they should be able to acquire seven of the the twenty-two symbols.

Once they arrive, she introduces one of her assistants, Esperia.. and sets up a beacon to teleport them in range of the first of the icons they'd pursue

Pep Cookiedoe: The Perseverance Icon[]

They arrive at London in front of a grandiose restaurant which is revealed to be a front for a demonic brothel where soulcatchers (who are a mixture of succubus and vampire) allow men and woman to experience the highest pleasure imaginable at the cost of their life. The reason Pep's family is there is simply to catch up with Esperia and Naxon, who while once enemies, were now more or less friends. Naxon cordially invites the girls to his restaurant, and states he was informed of their coming, while a soulcatcher Kira interjects that they didn't know why. At this point, Sacreblu, Fyori and Esperia enter the scene. With Sacreblu explaining that they needed to see Pep, Naxon is about to get a table set for them, but Tiramisa, Pep's grandmother, cuts him off and states they would meet them there, Esperia urges the soulcatchers and Naxon give them some space, with Kira, Kyon and Naxon all leaving the room, with only Kloe sticking around to watch the events that follow.

Lumi asserts the tall dashing red cat with a blindfold must be the perseverance icon, but its revealed the short skittish one who is that man's kid is actually the one they are after. After a small exchange, Pep starts acting strange, and seems hesitant to board the Starship, after more erratic behaviour, he eventually punches his mum Svoli down to the ground. Which shocks everyone, especially Lumi. Svoli states that this is clearly not Pep, and more likely some sort of demon within. The demon reveals itself as the Archangel Chamuel, and states that he was here to correct the mistakes that lead ot this imperfect future. Before Chameul can get far, Koko notions he take his plans up with Lumi, who is glowing with moral outrage. it turns out Lumi's bond with her ENNUI Naamah had been growing well enough that Lumi could now bring Naamah's powers to the surface, allowing her access to the true Night Shift of Justice. Lumi insists she'll fight this battle alone, and a one on one duel between her and chameul begins, at first Chamuel fights her in Pep's regular form, but later transforms into Pexepe, the forbidden cherubim form Pep had access to due to his body hosting both an angel gene courtesy of Svoli and a Devil Gene courtesy of Sped. Despite the power boost, Lumi defeats Chamuel and is able to use a destroy command to return the Archangel's soul to the Afterworld, the same prison Yasondre once knew.

Pep apologizes profusely for how he behaved, stating that he didn't mean any of it, and is more than happy to help out with the saving the universe thing. He and his entire family teleports up to the Starship, except Svoli who denies the invitation. Sacreblu asks whats wrong but before an answer can be given, Splode shows up and states that he has something he wishes to show them. Sacreblu states she will be along shortly, and lets the others go on ahead. Lumi, Lilac and Koko return to the starship, and Sacreblu asks for them to come to the bridge over the loudspeaker. They do so and find a holographic projection of Sacreblu awaiting them, that sends them into a virtual space where the real sacreblu is waiting. Sacreblu asks them if they'd let her join them on their adventures if they'd let her get to know them a bit more through fighting them, Lumi and Lilac aren't really game, but Lilac convinces Koko that she could definitely be the brave one. Koko accepts Sacreblu's challenge, and in this fight you play as Sacreblu. Whether win or lose, Sacreblu joins the Fantasia girls as a second wind party member, that will appear on the field if all three party members are exhausted so she may hold the line while they recover their strength.

Afterwards, they head down to the teleporter and head to Splode's bomb shop.

Svoli Mystralese: The Shafted Heart[]

Svoli is awaiting them, and they go together to discover what Splode has in store. Before Splode's bombshell is uncovered, Esperia warps in and tells Sacreblu something has happened, and Sacreblu asks if she can have thirty minutes to run this investigation, Esperia states that will be fine, Svoli seems to still have a chip on her shoulder about Esperia, to which Splode brings it up, but Svoli says not to worry about it and proceed.

After pressing a couple buttons on the Jukebox, it elevates up and a spatial door manifests from the space where it used to be. They enter the second innocuously-hidden bombshell secret laboratory where in yet another OMINOUS GATEWAY is hiding. Sacreblu begins interrogating Splode, and upon learning he built the gateway just to see if he could, she destroys it with a destroy command, stating that if he is capable of building such a thing, he should know how dangerous such a thing is. It is around this time the short statured man from the dream and intermission reveals himself, and states he has a thousand names, but mostly goes by M.F. Lazarus, or 'Laz' for short. He is almost glitchy, hisd body made of particles, when asked about this, he simply responds that the answers will come later, and vanishes without much more fanfare. Splode tries to assure them that while he seems ominous, he does seem to be on the side of the many. Svoli at this time, begins displaying similarly erratic behaviour to what pep did, Splode notices it immediately, and asks Sacreblu to keep an eye on Svoli when she asks to get some fresh air. Svoli's more kind demeanor has turned to a cold one and says harsh words to Sacreblu, in response, Sacreblu asks her what her name is...

"Very clever, spellweaver."

Is the response to leave not Svoli's mouth, but that of her DENUI Cupid. It appears the DENUI are too proud to wear the name of their mortal hosts, which in turn serves as a good way to bait them out of hiding. Cupid makes an attempt to fight her way to freedom, but with the three Fantasia girls and Sacreblu on standby, she is no match, she then tries to devalue Splode's decisions and bring out his insecurities, but Splode assures her that he's made peace with what he's done, and the good it did outweighed the bad.

"Nothing you can say to me will hurt me as badly as she is about to hurt you."

A stunned Cupid discovers Svoli has retaken hold of her motor functions and can even speak in position to her DENUI. Cupid makes a desperate last effort to regain motor control of the body which is greatly diminished due to Svoli being far more powerful than Cupid realized, and is the Fantasia girls are able to overcome Cupid and Sacreblu uses a destroy command on Cupid, but only after Cupid plants the seeds of distrust in the Fantasia girls about Sacreblu's plan. Sacreblu leaves to speak to Esperia about what she was on about earlier, and the girls rush to help Svoli after she faints from exhaustion. Svoli is back to her normal self, and twitches her ear, as if sending a cosmic singla, Pep arrives as if summoned by the twitch, and asks what she wanted. Svoli tells pep that the girls need to find Kara Marx in the moonlit mes,a and that he needs to guide the girls there as they don't know the way. pep happily agrees as a way to repay his mother for hitting her, and asks the girls follow him, Esperia joins them shortly after and they make their journey to the Mesa.

In a bizarre dimension, IA and her twin sister are shown in a sort of space and IA's twin informs her that a hoard of confidential data on IA was seized 16,200 metres away from where the Fantasia girls are currently. IA simply states that she is well aware and her sister seems pleased.

Kara Marx: The Three Clubs[]

They arrive at the mesa, Pep goes off to scout ahead while Lilac interrogates Esperia about what she does. Lilac mispresume that Esperia is an undead vampire like she was, with Esperia revealing she's a bit more than that. Lilac asks if she's okay with killing people like they're little more than food for thought, and Esperia plainly states that yes, its her job and hobby, and that she is not a moral person. She does somewhat assuage Lilac's concerns though, stating that she's an ally of Sacreblu, and by extension, the nieces she holds dear.

Pep returns stating Kara is just past the clearing, but Esperia can tell he'd been listening in to their conversation, and upon admitting guilt, Esperia playfully kicks him across the clearing, to which the three Fantasia girls show some level of concern.

The find pep laying on the grass no worse for wear, just bit sore- and before long a flash of lightning and clash of steel occurs as both kara and another cat are dueling, before they can decide who is the winner, Sacreblu teleports in and stands between them. She then insist they go greet their old friends and the new kids. While the whole exxchange starts smoothly, kara wears a face of worry when asked aboard the Starship, and states she'd rather not get involved. Pep asks that if she would have him believe this article, to sign it down the bottom with her name.

"You clever little shit."

The Archangel Michaella reveals herself. Sacreblu asks Pep how he knows about the trick to reveal a DENUI's influence by asking them their name when he wasn't there when she did it to Svoli and it wasn't needed for him. pep simply says his friend Tristy is the reason.

Michaella challenges the Fantasia girls in a fight to the death, and despite being a fearsome opponent, she falls short in the first round. In the second, she attempts to call upon Kara's crimson demon powers, but Kara is able to overpower Chamuel's influence and take back her speech, and asks the fantasia girls to finish it so they can remove her DENUI properly.

They do so, and Michaella makes some more worrying statements about the future Sacreblu's revolution will bring about. She is exorcised and sent to the Afterworld by Lilac using a Destroy command.

Kara is back to normal and is happy to join the girls aboard the Starship, she asks if Nola is coming too, but Nola assures them that she will be, and just has a promise to keep to an offworld friend first. reducing seven icons to be gotten on earth to six. They return to the Starship and are asked to the meeting room via loudspeaker request from Sacreblu. The girls discover that the Tristy which Pep mentioned is one of the icons and that she's been gathering a bunch of data about the Insidious Architect, and so Sacreblu and the girls are trying to locate her. Sacreblu decides to go and recruit Rolly, another of the icons, as he's one of tristy's good friends and has an amazing sense of smell and so should help them track her down. They head to the teleporter, ready to beam down to the Brisbane Central Business District.

Rolly Dorito: The Sparking Truffle

Fidning Rolly himself is no difficulty, and after some comical banter between him and pep, they deduce that going into tristy's room would be a good place to look for clues. Upon rwaching her room, they find no tristy present, but Rolly can smell dimensional fluid, which indicates she'd been using a 4th dimensional artefact to teleport somewhere. They decide to check up on the roof before going to her house at mallanganee just to eliminate that possibility and to see if there is any more clues. They discover some more packed equipment that tristy had left behind, indicating AI like was hot on her tail. Pep begins to ready Rolly for the trip to Mallanganee but is confronted with erratic behaviour and Pep more or less immediately works out a DENUI is responsible.

"The Archangel of Conviction. I am Barachielle. Please stay still so I may put a swift end to your reckless crusade."

Barachielle puts up one hell of a fight, but is ultimately defeated. When Lilac mocks him with the fear Michaella and Chmauel showed as they realized they had lost, he merely remarks that fear is natural for those without true conviction. That the mission is all that matters. When asked about his mission, it's revealed that the Archangels are no less victims than the ENNUI.

"The mission to save my people, my home! The home your next of kin despoils and decimates. I have ever been solely focused on this single task."

Barachielle tries to escape by using a hold command to pause Lilac's time, but Lumi checkmates him and destroys him with the usual command. he shows not fear, merely is interested in the fact the vessels of the ENNUI had learned so quickly.

Returning to the mission at hand, Pep, Rolly and the girls rush back up to the street to grab their vehicles, however Sacreblu says the plan must be accelerated, so she'll be deploying a teleportation beacon instead. She asks Pep go see his mother before he throws himself into more danger. Pep agrees and asks the girls if they may help him convince her to let him help.

Upon returning to the Starship, Sacreblu reminds Pep through loudspeaker to see his mother, and so he and the girls head off to see if she'll allow pep on this adventure.

On seeing Svoli's glare at pep, Pep asks they instead not get involved, as he doesn't want for his mother and them to have a fight over him. Pep more or less makes it clear he'll be going regardless of what Svoli wants, and is determined to help his best friend get outta dodge. Svoli runs out of means to convince him and resolves to do it by force instead, scared that if he went she may never see Pep again.

Before Svoli can ensnare Pep in a spear prison, he's bound her arms back to the wall using some devil tendrils he can summon via use of the devil gene, and asks her why she's acting like this. Svoli is reminded of her predicament in the past where she was being held by Esperia and having her life drained from her body as pep and Nola were forced to watch, triggering an episode of post traumatic stress disorder, causing her to lash out and easily break out of Pep's binding spell, and putting him in a spear prison, before throwing him into a nearby wall. She looks at him coldly before her mind catches up and she realises what she'd just done. While Pep is little worse for wear, Svoli is reeling at the thought of what she might have done had she gone much further. She lets pep do as he wants, only asking he teleport out if things go awry, Pep agrees and rushes off ready to find his friend. Svoli remarks that he's grown up so fast, she should be proud of him.

Tristy Heals: The Blueberries[]

Arriving at Mallanganee, Tristy is there to welcome them, and reveals she'd been watching them and their efforts, calling them the Angels of Hope, a monicker that would stick for the remainder of the game. Tristy reveals she has to do a couple things before she goes, the first is to rid the council of Archangels of another of its members, the second is to secure the data drive she still has in her lab. They proceed to her verandah where she pulls a device to her head like a gun and shoots, this seems to destabilize the link between her and her DENUI, forcing her ENNUI to the surface so the Angels of Hope could do what they needed to do.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! She let me take control?? Just so I could beat you all to a bloody pulp? How trusting of her."

Sacreblu recognizes her as the Archangel Gabrielle, and a fight between the Angels of Hope and the same Archangel begins, utilizing a tricky set of maneuvers, and halfway through the fight mocks the Angels of Hope for scurrying like rats. However, her gloating is cut short by a voice she didn't expect.

"That didn't take long."

Tristy was able to reclaim her speech and had started to force Gabrielle out of her being. After some bickering, Tristy reveals that she's far more than Gabrielle would be able to contend with.

Tristy is next seen in her angelic outfit and form which she's had since she died and ascended during the 314th Clash, however she now had six striking wings, marking her a Serazen, the only one outside of Fyori known to exist. its revealed that tristy achieved this without Gabrielle's knowledge by simply wearing a blindfold.

Tristy is able to subdue the vast majority of her crazy powers, and while it is still a tough battle, the fantasia girls emerge victorious, and Sacreblu uses a destroy command to banish Gabrielle to the Afterworld. With the first thing on tristy's list checked off, they proceed to her lab, with tristy telling pep not to follow her or she will ikll him. She asks Rolly to keep him where he is, to which Rolly obliges.

This is however, where things stop going well.

"Careful there, trashbag. Smug little ants piss me off."

IA block their path, the Demon with Triangle Eyes had tracked them down, in a bid of either sadism or curiosity, IA teleports Pep and Rolly to be beside herself, and grasps Rolly by the neck, telling Tristy that if she doesn't tell her where the Data drive is, bad things might happen!

Tristy is unphased, and uses her incredible psychic ability to control pep and has him shoot Rolly to the floor, dead. She states that if they die, they'll simply ascend like her, and against one who manipulates existence as IA does, that she'll commit what crimes she must. She then summons one of her OV4Ls to redirect Pep's next shot back into himself, while this doesn't kill him, the next attack appears to.

"And with that, you've lost all of your leverage."

However, while she had ensured the survival of her friends, she now had an enraged IA infront of her and all of the people IA wanted to control, trapped into a corner. IA shows disappointment that this was as far as Tristy's intellect went, to which even Tristy admits it wasn't her best thought out plan.

However, Pep had not died, only pulled a vanishing act courtesy of his stealth ability. he reappeared as the Cherubim Chamuel unlocked for him, and got IA's attention so the Angels of Hope and Tristy could continue with the plan. out of options and with a heavy heart, tristy commands them to follow her, as IA realizes what Pep was up to, she tries to stop them, but finds herself bound by a hold arcana. IA mocks pep for thinking it will do much, and asks him what he was attempting to do here, Pep simply responds that he's buying them time.

"Your callous misunderstanding of what you are dealing with will be all that buys you any time."

In an instant, IA crushes the hold arcana and throws Pep up in the air and kicks him back down brutally into some crates. Pep is taken aback and IA explains to him that he had no chance of delaying her long, but lets him live with the wound he'd just suffered, as she had bigger fish to fry.

For the third time, the Fantasia girls enter a secret underground laboratory and find themselves once again upon one of the ominous GATEWAYs, Tristy gives Lumi the Data drive and sends her and her sisters through the portal, Sacreblu destroys it from Tristy's side and joins the Fantasia girls using the coordinates typed in on the machine to find her way there, leaving Tristy to deal with IA, who assured Sacreblu she had been planning for this eventuality for years now.

IA explosively enters the lab from the far wall, turning the most durable man-made substances to rubble in one attack, she approaches tristy with a deathly waltz. Tristy reveals to IA that because she gave Tristy a nightmare twenty years ago, she had been preparing for the return and revolution the nightmare inspired, stating that in this respect, IA is her own worst nightmare, to which IA more or less admitted that was the case. She asks tristy to give her the Drive, and notices Sacreblu had stayed with her.

However, after trying to blackmail Tristy over the idea of torturing sacreblu, it's shown that the Sacreblu IA was seeing was merely a hologram conjured from a modified coat rack with an audio transmitter. Too impressed with the ploy to be mad, IA casually disintegrates the coat rack. Tristy asks if IA is ready for Phase two, for IA to respond with that she won't be getting that far, and lunges at Tristy with incredible speed.

However, it's revealed by now Tristy is able to dodge bullets, so even IA's insane speed can be avoided. Another small army of holograms is summoned to disorient the Embodiment of Terror, with one among them being the real tristy, who catches IA offguard and kicks her in the head with her burly kangaroo kick. This knocks IA flying into a wall, and IA remarks she's impressed, as its the first time a mortal has landed a blow on her that actually hurt. After some omiunous leavings for IA, Tristy teleports out and all the lights and holograms vanish. leaving IA alone in the darkness of the lab.

"Don't worry. You'll get yours."

Exile Lyza: The Destiny Egg[]

Having now arrived at the Bermudan Cloudsea, a warped part of space time only accessible via following the magnetic pull of the bermuda triangle's confluence- the Angels of Hope encountered Lyza, an alien looking girl who had shot Rolly with a blaster to seperate him from barachielle back at the garage in Brisbane. She introduces herself merrily but states time is short, and to hand her the Data Drive so they could get out of there. Lumi does so, for lilac to suddenly feel a huge pit grow in her stomach. Thankfully, Tristy had foreseen the potential of one of her good friends being host ot a DENUI, and had given Lumi a dud that like her own blaster, served to severe the connection of a DENUI to its host.

"THAT LABRAT THINKS TO DEFY ME!? I'll discard the pretense, then! As the DENUI known to mortalkind as Saint Sophia, I will ensure you never leave this Bermudan hell!"

After an epic battle, Saint Sophia lunges onto Lilac as a last resort and uses her as a hostage. This backfires though, as Koko stands tall and orders her with an intimidating level of authority to back down.

"This gambit was over before it began. Do you really want to get on Her bad side?"

The her spoken in this line is orange, implying that the person saying that word is Koko's ENNUI, and the her she refers to is likely IA's twin sister, who for unknown reasons, wants the Angels of Hope to stay alive.

Saint Sophia concedes and seperates herself from Lyza's body and lets Lilac go, Lyza responds by shooting her with the blaster just for good measure, to which Sophia acts like that's not needed, as she already did what Koko asked! Lumi is asked by Koko to do the honors, who does so, seeming somewhat sympathetic to Sophia who seems to be acting more out of desperation than anything else.

After Lumi sends her to the Afterworld via a destroy command, they beam up to the Starship utilizing Sacreblu's presence to locate it.

Upon their return, Tristy reveals she had the real data drive all along, and knew that IA would never suspect her to be both the distraction and the place where it was located. Tristy decides before that she must go and apologize to Svoli for having her son shoot himself and the whole kerfuffle with IA had cost him much. While at first, tristy is sympathetic to Svoli's grief, she eventually gets annoyed when Svoli turns her worry of pep's saftey into an excuse to attack Esperia. When Svoli asks Pep what he was trying to prove with his bravado, he finalyl lets out the truth, stating that he's not just a kid anymore, and that he shouldn't have to spend twenty minutes arguing with his mum who by this point he has more or less outlived, that he's going to go help his good friend get out of trouble. Svoli admits that she must seem condescending, but its only out of concern for his safety that she's been so strict.

Svoli keeps trying to bring the conversation back around to Esperia, and Pep says not to blame her for who she is, and admitted that he asked Esperia not change for his sake. When asked by Svoli why he'd do that, Pep argues that if he asked her to be different just because he didn't approve of what she is, would that make him any better than the twins? Acknowledging she hadn't had a great life, and was happy to let bygones be bygones.

Esperia finally comforts Pep saying she knew they'd been through a lot together, don't worry about her, she can take Svoli's chiding and its all part of the job.

This... upsets Svoli, as she had no idea how much Esperia and pep had been through, and by this point, tristy had confirmed what Svoli was trying to do, and out of respect for pep's independance and Esperia's pride, decided to stand up to Svoli.

"It seems there is a gap in your knowledge of just how well Pep and Esperia get on. It's unlikely he told you because of how you'd react. If it weren't for Esperia's efforts, it's very possible that none of us would be here today. Her and your son worked together to bring an end to Niirgo, and purchased this imperfect future that you love so much.

The past is past, there's no changing it. I've made regrettable mistakes, too. None of us are perfect and we're okay with that. But that's not what is causing your sadness, is it? Esperia is a convenient excuse.

You have right to be distrustful of Esperia, virtually no one here except Fyori trusts her. But don't drag your concern for your son into your hatred for Esperia. They are not at all related. Pep admires Esperia's commitment to whatever cause she is involved in. As one whose life has been centered around perseverance, it's easy to see why he may defend her. Him wanting more time to himself has nothing to do with it. Him near getting killed has nothing to do with it.

Further. If Esperia killing Pep is a problem, then why is it that when I admitted to attempting the same- you had no issue with it? Quit hiding behind excuses, you're allowed to dislike Esperia. But don't make the mistake of bringing everyone else down with your problems. We aren't interested in your double-standards."

It's a one-hit KO and Svoli basically concedes her argument entirely. Tristy leaves shortly after to carry out the data drive showcase, as the Fantasia girls follow to see the contents Tristy reveals they can't let Lilac see it for security reasons. Lilac is disheartened but decides to go take a nap. Koko feels too bad about excluding her and goes to see her after a while. During her nap, Lilac is visited by IA.

Yi Hellrider: The Insidious Architect[]

"There's no point being afraid of the inevitable. She will emerge now, regardless of what you want. I do hope that when such a menace shows its face... You might reconsider the gifts I offered. It is the only way out of this hell you've flung yourselves into. You need to understand that... I'm not being like this because I want to be. I just... I don't know how else to help you see. So now, I've resigned myself to the fleeting hope you'll accept me after seeing what your foolishness has unleashed."

IA or Yi as we will call her from now on- is seen for the first time to be somewhat reasonable. Stating that she's only been so mean and callous because asking nicely has never worked for her in the past. She reveals there is good reason to help her and become the Goddess, and while Lilac is sympathetic, she states that unless her sisters also are willing, she would not betray them. Yi respects her decision, knowing her own sister would be just as loyal, and leaves her in peace.

Lilac wakes up to see Koko with a concerned expression, and the two have a heart to heart about what they've been dealing with, resulting in a good hug.

"ATTENTION! ALL PASSENGERS PLEASE GATHER IN THE PASSENGER BAY. I REPEAT, ALL PASSENGERS REPORT TO THE PASSENGER BAY!"

The loudspeaker blares Sacreblu's voice, tLilac and Koko start heading towards the passenger bay, with Lumi coming in to meet them and join the fray, stating Tristy might have bitten off more than she could chew.

The Fantasia Girls walk down the passenger bay to see all the people onboard they'd recruited and the families who came with them, they wear faces of concern or panic. Something horrible was about to happen, everyone knew it, everyone could feel it.

Upon reaching Sacreblu, Esperia revealed there was a transmission coming through. Sacreblu asked that Esperia play it.

"The Insidious Architect has a score to settle. Enjoy the view of Earth... enjoy it while you still can."

The Insidious Architect transmits a message while floating just outside the orbit of Earth, stating that their defiance comes at the cost of their beloved globe of dirt. Pep states aloud that surely she wouldn't, but tristy knwos how little she cares for life, and confirms she would. Pep teleports out, stating he won't just watch this happen.

Tristy and Lyza follow suit, Tristy to watch out for Pep, and Lyza to try and prevent anyone from getting erased. Pep demands that Yi stop this, but Yi simply mocks him and asks if he didn't learn from the last time they met? Tristy points accusationally at Yi and snaps at Yi to not dare hurt him. Yi just giggles, ignoring the kangaroo, and says to say farewell to their beloved planet. With a singlehand, she shoots a laser blast, and the Earth explodes int the next few seconds. Pep looks to the rubble mortified.

"What... What have you done!?"

Pep has lost his ability to think rationally, and goes to charge AI with everything he's got, despite Tristy yelling at him not to fight her.

The "fight' goes about as well as one would expect, with Yi getting Pep in a paralysis grip, before Yi can do anything though, Esperia teleports to the scene and knocks Pep clear, and confronts Yi herself.

"Pep. Try picking fights with foes a bit closer to your own strength, hm? Besides, your mother will find some way to blame me if you get another big hole in your chest. So~

Leave this one... to me!"

Though her bravado seems real, Esperia is terrified deep down, but does not want to imagine an existence without a pep in it, and so takes the full brunt of Yi's attack, while she lives through it, to say it was clean would be a complete lie. Yi hits her hard enough that blood is pouring out from both her eyes and mouth. Pep apologizes profusely, but Esperia stands tall despite her injuries, stating that an apology wasn't necessary. This was her choice to make.

This bold act by Esperia and Yi's response to it helps Lyza figure something out about Yi.

"You've been forbidden to erase us, haven't you?"

Yi more or less confirms as much, but boasts that erasure is nothing compared to everlasting bottomless terror. She tells them to return from whence they came, and that it'll be a more fitting punishment that they are forced to accept their planet's fate.

They teleport back to the Starship in defeat, and for many of them, hearbroken. There was nothing they could do.

As Esperia returns looking like a slash-fic victim, Fyori is distraught, even though she and Esperia had already died a few times, it was never a nice thing to witness. Svoli is largely lost for words, and mentions that she did not expect Esperia to risk her own exiastence for pep's, conceding that maybe she had changed.

Fyori is enraged by this point, and verbally destroys Svoli for her blindness.

"Oh!? Ya think, Svoli??

How novel it must be for you, watching my girlfriend get a hole through the stomach because your "golden boy" can't keep the fuck out of trouble that's bigger than him! You better bloody apologize when she wakes up, Svoli!"

Svoli reasons that she didn't owe Esperia an apology, as she did not make Esperia do what she did.

"How typical... that you'd leave your enemy to save your son before you'd lift a finger. That's pretty cold, y'know? What right have you got to chide Esperia when she risked her existence for the sake of your idiot kid? Just face it, Svoli. You'd rather see Esperia hurt herself doing your job than ever let your one-sided feud go. It must drive you mad knowing Esperia doesn't even give a shit."

Esperia wakes up from shock paralysis and asks Fyori to stop, stating none of this is Svoli's fault. Fyori is just happy to see Esperia's eyes open and drops it more or less immediately.

Sacreblu's energy changes from melancholy to directed. She orders everyone to avoid confronting the Insidious Architect if at all possible, stating that this had been one hell of a reality check for all of them. Erase-immune or not, she's too dangerous to openly engage with.

Everyone agrees, and Pep is unaware that Nola was off planet, which is why he tried to stop Yi from blowing earth up. Sacreblu reveals Nola was off planet and that even if she wasn't, that would only be a problem if Earth was erased, it was merely blown up, meaning the cycle of life, death and ascension would function as usual.

Tiramisa then teleports in with her usual sassy way of addressing the current crises, which leads to her revealing that Nola is on Zen Aneia along with the Grandmaster, a grandmaster some know as Kyoshi.

Overjoyed to hear they might have a chance to see their Dad again, as both he and yasondre had dipped to lie low at different locations, Sacreblu and the Cosmic Defence Force set theirs eyes on Zen Aneia, the closed borders kitsune homeworld.

Yi does a monologue and this ends Disk 1

Disk 2: Immoral Wrath of Supreme Mastermind[]

The disk start off on a melancholy note as the destruction of Earth has put several people in low spirits. Esperia, Lyza, Tiramisa, Rolly, Tristy and Svoli are particularly unhappy. Lumi is overwhelmed by the sadness and retreats to her room to sleep at Sacreblu's advisal. However, sweet dreams were not hers to have.

Yi appears, and she's not fucking around anymore. She begins tormenting Lumi through a nightmare, showing just a fraction of the power she has in dreams, and even that is terrifying. Before Lumi can get too traumatized though, Yi's nightmare is interrupted by a projection of M.F. Lazarus, who Yi recognizes as the man of a thousand names. Lazarus stands between Lumi and Yi, advising Lumi wake up as even he can't hold Yi off of her forever. Yi shows a clear amount of disdain for Lazarus, but also doesn't consider him a threat.

"I SHALL UNMAKE YOU."

Lazarus summons a large fleet of his LAZARs (Floating drones that fire lasers, short for Laser Artillery Zenith: Annihilation Ray) and M.F.Rs (Heavy weapons that resemble to some degree, M.F. Lazarus' head. Short for Mass Fatality Railgun) and shows Yi why its important not to underestimate him,

Lumi wakes up, with Lilac looking concerned, stating that she was fitting in her sleep but couldn't seem to be woken up. Lumi confirms she was visited by Yi and she was not in a good mood, but also mention that the partial dude that was at Splode's lab was also there, to which Lilac responds by asking Lumi about if she also had the dream Kok had back in day one, which Lilac confirms she also had. This leads the Fantasia girls to conclude it wasn't a dream so much as it was a communication, with Lilac speculating that perhaps the sisters he mentioned missing were the ENNUI inside them. Lumi asserts that such a thing seems unlikely, given that even Naamah seemed convinced there were only four ENNUI. Lilac posits however, that maybe the fifth shares in M.F. lazarus' partial condition. Koko interjects, stating that because M.F. lazarus might be Tristy's father, she might know more. Tristy warps in through one of her OV4Ls but regrets she wouldn't know much more than they do, as her father is a closed book at the best of times. She does state that they should for now at least, keep this information to themselves, as if Yi doesn't know, it'd be best she never does.

They then are asked to report to the bridge by Sacreblu over loudspeaker, and do so.

Nola Worthington: The Queen Spade[]

The icon hunt continues, and while finding Nola proves not to be too difficult, getting to speak with her proves a whole other ballpark. Sacreblu tells of Zen Aneia, the kitsune homeworld which is incredibly wary of outsiders, though Sacreblu is convinced she can at least assure the Fantasia girls a temporary visa thanks to their father being the grandmaster Kyoshi and their Aunt being the Aspect Sacreblu.

They arrive on Zen Aneia and are approached by two Kitsune, one with two tails and one with three tails, a purple-haired mischievous girl called Cathy, and an orange haired one called Renae. They openly welcome the outsiders, although Akra Olna does show up pretty quickly, Sacreblu respectfully asks that the three girls who are the grandmaster's most recent understudies be permitted a temporary visa, Akra Olna allows it, but does state that currently Kyoshi is on a pilgrimage, and while he should be back soon, encourages them to not get too attached to the world. Sacreblu asserts that they're hear to accrue the aid of Nola, the Witch Hunter who had begun training recently. Akra Olna speculates that most beings even old as she is wouldn't call five hundred years recently. They return to the Starship to discuss what the hell they just heard. Esperia is able to explain, stating that the reason for that is Nola shortly after her death in the era of perseveranc,e joined Corporation XVI's efforts to bring about the 314th Clash, in order to recruit more allies and better prepare, they and all who shared in their motives would send themselves back five hundred years in the past, with the rules being set that they were not to leave the equation unsolved unless given an assignment which demanded they do so, or they either didn't exist yet or had disappeared due to time alteration.

This meant Esperia could go and be found by Fyori in 1612 which later led to a relationship between them blooming in 1712 as Esperia wasn't born until 1983 she did not have to worry about receding from the world until then. Nola is born even later, meaning she could spend that time to start training with the other Witch Hunters with some help from Tiramisa who was one of the Corporations supporters, though she barely made it known. Lyza also did some stuff, although she would have been alive in 1612, the present her would be halfway through her 800 year journey of exile., so it didn't matter if so long as she kept a low profile.

With this explanation laid bare, and it answering a lot of Sacreblu's questions= they returned to Zen Aneia and Lumi, Lilac and Koko wanted to speak more with Renae and Cathy, they do so and while the conversation starts smoothly, Sacreblu asks the three girls to spy on Akra Olna, having a feeling something might be up. Cathy and Renae at this point sense a certain something, and the conversation becomes ominous.

--More to come later--

Gameplay[]

When not in battle[]

Mostly the player will walk around the map, pressing Z, space bar or the return key to interact. The players speed is set to 5 by default, this is only altered for dramatic emphasis on cutscenes. In rare scenarios the player will be allowed to sprint with the shift key- this functions in the Starship YHWH and other large open areas.

When in battle[]

A HUD appears, showing the party-member window on the top-left, the enemies health gauge and / or timer on the top-right. The player's battle stats on the bottom left, and the players drive on the bottom-right (only after unlocking drives).

The player can move with the arrows while using A, S, D, F and later E for varying skills.

  • A = Attack, which simply throws projectiles in the direction the player is facing at the cost of energy.
  • S = Skedaddle, which is a "dodge-roll" type of ability with its own invulnerability frames.
  • D = Defend, which makes you impervious to most forms of attack- the only catch is it drains Energy.
  • F = Friend, which simply cycles through the party members available for the encounter.
  • E = ENNUI Empowerment, which calls upon the powers of the moon, the sun, the void or the nebula.
Ohp8

An example of the rainbow of colorful projectiles the game may throw your way.

The battles are all boss fights- featuring fast-paced projectile dodging and combat. Variety is added to projectiles by way of color mechanics. Each projectile comes in up to 10 different colors, these mean the following.

Color Mechanic
White Regular Damage
Red Fatal Damage
Orange Cannot be avoided with Skedaddle
Yellow Cannot be avoided with Defend
Green Heals instead of doing damage
Pale Blue Unavoidable unless stationary
Dark Blue Applies an effect which saps Energy over time.
Purple Unavoidable unless moving
Pink Applies an effect that damages Health over time.
Black Instant KO that also stops the slain party member from returning to battle.

These mechanics are deployed in varying patterns and manners which offer anywhere from easy challenges to surreal in difficulty.

There is also an INSANE difficulty reserved for four superbosses exclusively. In Demo 3, one of these is available, with the remaining three being promised to come along with the game's release.

The Protagonists[]

LumiProfile

Miss Chipper-as-beans.

Lumi Fuzz[]

A bold and bright policewoman with a keen sense of justice and a love of family and fun. Lumi is upbeat and never lets hardships hold her down for long. While she is usually chipper and full of beans, she has her more worrisome moments. It's revealed halfway through Disk 2 or in a Optional Event on Disk 0 that she joined the police force to cope with her own trauma.

Justicaar of the Moon

Lumi with her ENNUI active.

She was the first of the sisters to learn that they lived in a simulation. Her love for family as a result of being unable to feel real without her sisters around.

Lumi is entirely innocent in that she has no idea what sex is and often makes statements that come off like innuendo but when asked about it she clearly has no idea. This makes her endlessly amusing for Esperia, Fyori and other soulcatchers. Though she is not entirely a good person. She knew of an underground prison on Vahnus that functioned basically as a hole for entirely too far gone criminals. She showed something akin to disappointment when it became apparent the upcoming supernova would mean they can finally die. Lilac often credits Lumi as a good-bad cop who can flip on a dime based purely on what she wants.

KokoProfile

A scholar at heart.

Koko Spiral[]

A shrewd conspiracy theorist, avant-garde prophet and aspiring librarian. Koko is always eager to discover the mysteries of the universe, and finds joy in the pursuit of knowledge and answers. Koko however is socially awkward and prefers to keep to herself. Koko may not be fearless but she is most powerful when she feels threatened. While Koko plays the more straight-girl to Lumi's indulgent flippant manner or Lilac's brooding edgelord shtick, she is far from incapable of having fun or sassing people in jest.

Koko Spiral ~The Apocalypse Prophet

Koko's eyes flare orange when Eisheth empowers her.

Koko's trauma is revealed in Disk 2. Wi intervenes by talking to Koko in a dream, with it being revealed that Eisheth's powers came to the surface at age seven when some ruffians kidnapped Koko and were harassing her. Eisheth came to the surface and showed that even bullets did nothing to her. For their sins, Eisheth put the two men down at petrol pumps and saw them burned alive.

As the petrol station exploded, Eisheth guarded Koko's body and begun suppressing what she and the two villains had done, but she did not have time to suppress what Koko had done fully, leading to trust issues that went on for ten years, not only for Koko and herself, but Koko and her sisters as well.

Koko feared that if she got too close to them, maybe a similar thing would happen. She would rather keep them at a distance and die alone than have the chance for the past to repeat. Finally she has no choice but to allow Eisheth to unlock and accepts her at the end of Disk 2, allowing her to easily overpower Eve and put a stop to her insurrection.

LilacProfile

Hot-topic Disaster

Lilac Grave[]

A tough stalwart artist, author and schemer, while she seems quiet, reserved and apathetic to the world's problems- she is highly protective of her sisters and vows to protect them through thick and thin. During Yasondre's absence, Lilac tends to play "mother" and also bullies her sisters to toughen them up for whatever life flings at them.

Ohp11

in true vampiric fashion, Lilac's eyes become a brilliant blood red when she channels her ENNUI. Illustration by PhoenixAstra.

When Yasondre is returned, Lilac is able to be cured of her miserable undeath. This allows her to have a normal life once again, if only for a couple days before her life becomes everything but normal. It's revealed in Disk 2 that Lilac's strength is all due to her sisters, and that she herself is weak of will and strength without them.

Unlike Lumi who relies on her sisters to feel real, Lilac relies on them to feel proud. Lilac is terrified of having no one to be proud of, as she finds it difficult to be proud of herself due to her immoral childhood and other things, including lying to her sisters out of fear for how they'd respond. Lilac is one of the people most affected by the knowledge that people can be entirely erased from reality. In the face of the Insidious Architect, she shows a much higher amount of fear after seeing him erase Captain Nelson. Even seeing her triangular symbol is enough to grow a pit in Lilac's stomach. Lilac is usually good at hiding her emotions, something she likely learned to do during her undeath spent preying on fellow humans. Finall in Disk 2 when her Sisters are threatened, she accepts her ENNUI completely, satisfying the Immoral Messenger and saving her sisters from the flame of the Daystar.

SacrebluProfile

White hood-sage!

Sacreblu[]

Yasondre's sister and the Aspect of Magic. Previously a sympathetic villain, she's now the leader of the Cosmic Defense Force and has become absolutely enamored with the Universe and all of its surreal oddities. She recruits the three sisters to aid in her plans concerning the longevity of the cosmos. She technically qualifies as the aunt of the Fantasia sisters and loves to hang out with them. While their relationship starts out somewhat more business-minded, the four become attached and by Disk 2, are ready to disservice themselves to see the other happy or safe.

Eve

Sacreblu takes the hood down while controlled by Eve, her eyes also become visible.

Sacreblu seems to be particularly effected by the words of the DENUI, Cupid in particular seems to tug at something. Mahlat also warns Lilac to be weary of her about halfway through Disk 2. On Esoterquois after it is unlocked by Esperia's finale optional event, it is possible to do some optional events that reveal her ENNUI Lilith has never seen or met her presumed host, with one of her followers stating it might be due to how different and destructive Blu's acquisition of the Robes of the White Snake was. Lilith encourages Sacreblu to not give up hope, and to think of her when next she is in trouble.

It turns out that Sacreblu had a DENUI inside her the entire time, one that could use Lilith's existence to disguise herself from the Starship YHWH's DENUI detecting systems. Sacreblu admitted she knew it was there, but thought it might be a huge threat to the mission if people found out. Though realistically, Sacreblu was terrified of losing the pedestal she'd been put on. She wanted to find her own way to deal with it, which utterly backfires late in Disk 2 when Xali reveals her secret and called the DENUI by its name. This causes said DENUI to panic, and she eventually is able to overtake the hold on Sacreblu's body, posing as the end of Disk 2 boss.

The Antagonists[]

IAProfile

Terror Embodied

Insidious Architect / IA[]

The Embodiment of Terror, she is terror given physical and astral form- there is not a single being in the universe which she cannot terrify. IA is psychotic, determined and reckless- often destroying entire worlds on a whim without thought of the consequences. Because of this, she is the easier villain to escape from. In Disk 2 she is shown to be vulnerable and very spiteful. Her pride being to blame for things getting to the degree they had just as much as anyone else was at fault. Over the course of Disk 2 she comes to see Sacreblu and the Fantasia girls in a more warm light, and promises Sacreblu that she would think on her words, only stating that she would never betray her twin sister, as she is all she truly has.

Imperishable Fear

One look is all it takes...

The Insidious Architect's real name of Yi Hellrider is dropped early in Disk 1, and in Disk 2 and beyond, she is often called that by both Sacreblu and the Fantasia girls, though through out disk 1, only Tristy is ballsy enough to call her by her real name outside of the safety of the Starship YHWH. Yi is the First Guardian, and is responsible for ensuring the Universe doesn't undergo terrible transformations. It was the shattering of the MAMIX by Sacreblu at the end of the 314th Clash that got her attention.

Yi lives outside of the simulation, meaning she can and could have hard reset the simulation long ago, with the initial reason being that her sister's plan only works in these bizarre conditions. But later Yi admits that she considers the Fantasia girls her children, and deep down didn't have the heart to do it, after seeing how hard they were fighting to defend their hopes and dreams.

IMProfile

Daystar

Immoral Messenger / IM[]

The Embodiment of Power, the very air around her gains weight, and being in proximity to her makes it difficult to breathe, and most mortals will end up paralyzed or dead via her mere power aura. IM is also tactical, methodical, cunning and patient- everything her sister is not. She thinks of the bigger picture, rather than the current. She is shown to be much more patient than IA, but when she does get ticked off, she demonstrates her anger in quick and painful displays of domination. She is not often one to anger, so when she does- the tension grows significantly.

She is one of the major architects of the Vahnus Prophecy and seeks to bring about something she calls the Final Union, for what ends or to what effect is unknown. Her plans are purposely vague and she is a mastermind pulling the strings to suit her needs. It's clear that she wants all of the Fantasia girls as well as Sacreblu to unlock their powers and bring their ENNUI to the surface for her own ends. She like her twin sister, is one of the architects of the cosmos, and is likely the one who designed the system. She in true administrator fashion, is outside of the system's confines. Therefore, diagnosing her accurately is literally impossible even for rulers.

Daystar

Her raw power is worthy of dread.

In some apocrypha, she has allowed Rulers to diagnose her, but she is shown to use merely a very stand in 'status' page, which has all values at infinity, and her skills and titles are omitted. Realistically, she could have all or none of them, or anything in between due to administrator privileges, she can use the system to also obstruct diagnosis. She like her sister, can grow her power indefinitely, with the general levels their avatars hold being so high that even big hitters like Esperia admit even an army of her couldn't lay a finger on IM. In an optional event on Disk 0, it is possible to "fight" the Immoral Messenger, but she admits she was only fighting at a pitiful fraction of her power, as it'd be impossible to impress her otherwise. She also reveals in this event that in the physical universe, she is ten times more powerful than her sister, but in the astral or mindspace, is about ten times weaker. This likely boils down to how her sister uses psychological terror and nightmares to manipulate her subjects, while Wi tends to reside mostly in the material plain and uses raw power to dominate and control her subjects.

The Archangel Council[]

Archangels are strong varieties of DENUI who are personally assigned to their host by either IA or IM themselves. So far four archangels have been revealed.

  • Chamuel the Archangel of Perseverance
  • Michaella the Archangel of Charity
  • Barachielle the Archangel of Conviction
  • Gabrielle the Archangel of Humility

Other Antagonists[]

  • Captain Nelson: A recurring character throughout early Disk 0, his villainy is ended when an irritated IA erases him to send a point home to Lilac Grave.
  • The Bat-fanged Carson: Often called Lady Death, she is a folk legend among criminals on Vahnus. She also serves as Lumi's nemesis and Lilac's alter-ego. She basically appears for the last time in an optional event on the Seventh Day of Vahnus in Disk 0, after which- the alter-ego is retired.
  • Cupid the Heartshafter: A DENUI hosted by Svoli, Cupid is defeated, and properly exorcised by Sacreblu, though not without warning the Goddess' company of her duplicity.
  • Saint Sophia: The DENUI hosted by Lyza. Sophia is defeated, and scared out of her host's body by an angered Koko. Lumi mercifully destroys her for her cooperation.
  • Shimmy, Jimmy and Timmy: A hopeless trio of criminals who escape from prison during the chaos on Vahnus as the sun shrinks- however they don't get far before being killed by the Bat-fanged Carson.

The Sister's Family[]

KyoshiProfile

Lichdad

Kyoshi Leonova[]

A staunch well-meaning Caretaker, who takes in orphans and raises them in a life of luxury and comfort. Kyoshi is ambitious, perceptive, crafty and quite the romantic. He is a cunning inventor, who is able to grab M.F. Lazarus' attention and build an illegal GΔTEWΔY to bring Yasondre's soul back from the Afterworld.

Ohp12

The GΔTEWΔY

Despite being pretty bad at lying, he manages to keep this secret entirely his own until a day before the critical moment, with Lumi finding some incriminating documents stashed under his bed... This leads her and the sisters to find his secret lab accessed via the vending machine which he warned them about touching only five days prior.

Koko responds to the revelations with a mix of heartbreak and disgust, seeking to cut his plans short- and almost succeeds in doing so. Lumi however, decides to give Kyoshi the benefit of the doubt, and ignores Koko's desperate pleading, stating she was sorry that she had to ignore her. The GΔTEWΔY emits great power, but settles down without doing much harm to the planet, eventually a being steps through it. To the sisters surprise, this is revealed by Kyoshi to be their mother, to which Lumi responds by fainting on the spot.

YasondreProfile

Lifemum

Yasondre the Fable Druid[]

Sacreblu's sister and the Aspect of Life, she has an empathic, loving nature and often indulges in silliness for fun, she is also narcoleptic- something she may have passed onto Lumi. While she's sweet and kind, she has a stern and scary side she rarely lets slip.

VN HavenScene1

The Family day out, where they witness "Yasondre's Moon" from the surface of planet Haven.

It's worth noting that Origin / Niirgo is considered father of both Yasondre and Sacreblu, which would make him the Fantasia Girls grandfather, which would make the twins their great-grandmothers. Family is all on a technicality of who raised who, though. Genetically, the only relation in this entire family tree is the sisters, who are Twins.

Yasondre takes leave to go and hibernate in her tower shrine on Planet Haven. Later in the game on Disk 2 after completing Rolly's optional event chain, the Fantasia girls can go to haven and reunite with their mother. Kyoshi teleports in to help awake her, and several optional events showcase her, Sacreblu, Kyoshi and the Fantasia girls having a family day. After completing these events, Kyoshi and Yasondre can both be found on Sanctuary.

Symbolic Icons[]

So far only a handful of these have been revealed.

PepProfile

The Red Rapscallion

Pep Cookiedoe[]

The first of the icons to recruit, his fight is a one on one, with Lumi versus him. After fighting him alone- Lumi learns to tap into her ENNUI Empowerment. Pep has a brash, blunt and carefree attitude, He tends to talk in flippant remarks and disjointed poeticisms. His symbol is the Perseverance Icon. He's a character who has been in many adventures set in the Remipolitan Cosmos, making his debut in Intelligence 314th Clash, he later had his own prequel called Perseverance: Full Clearance, and also makes a brief appearance in Menagerie: Remastered.

Over the span of Disk 1, Pep almost dies once due to a kick delivered to him by the Insidious Architect, and likely would have been finished off by her following his intervention shortly after the destruction of Earth if it weren't for Esperia stepping in to take the blow for him.

12 The Big City - Album Art by Biz and Apoc

Neither saint nor sinner, he is only himself, and that's okay!

His friend Tristy also tries to kill him, though not to be mean- but to remove the chance of him being erased by IA after she had appeared to put a stop to Tristy's ballsy plan personally. Svoli doesn't harm him too badly, but does toss him against a wall when going through an episode of PTSD brought about by Esperia's treatment of her and her family in the past.

Pep's death finally comes early in Disk 2, where he uses a SOULBEAM attack that erodes his soul protection field badly, and is only saved from termination there by one of his mother's divine spears moving him clear of trouble. However, at this point, his souls' casing is too eroded to sustain itself, so Svoli urges Esperia to return him to the starship for treatment. Pep dies shortly after Svoli returns unvictorious from her battle with the Letter of Endings, witnessing Esperia and Svoli finally reconciling, causing him to die with a smile on his face. His death doesn't mean a whole lot, enough of his soul remained that he could make it to the Tribunal and choose an afterlive, given to possibly a bias, he chooses the Necropolis and has yet to fully decide on what path he is taking, but mentions Dreadblade is up his alley.

His Devil and Angel genes both cease to be after this point, meaning he can no longer switch to his Cherubim form or commune with Xepp.

SvoliProfile

Catmum

Svoli Mystralese[]

Pep's mother and a world-weary, retired nurse from the Great War. A Russian Blue originating from Moscow- she is a calm and caring individual. Her symbol is the Shafted Heart. She is shown to have a chip on her shoulder about Esperia, which Esperia is entirely unsurprised by. However, her hatred for Esperia begins to define her more than love does. This conflict within her scares her, and she tries to move on in a way where she might one day be able to forgive Esperia. She however, is doing all of this selfishly, and sees herself as a better person than Esperia due to Esperia's lack of a moral code for the most part.

Ohp9

Svoli's angelic powers come to the forefront.

She is also scared of how Pep keeps throwing himself into danger, knowing that if he got erased, she'd never see him again, a thought that utterly mortifies her. She desperately tries to cow Pep into staying with her onboard the starship, but Pep refuses to let his friend (Tristy) face things alone. When Svoli goes summons her divine spears in an attempt to force pep to stay at her side, Pep casts a devil tendrils spell to bind her arms back before asking what was going on with her. Svoli ignores Pep's questions as her mind flips back to when Esperia as holding her in the era of perseverance, a scene plays in her head where she sees Esperia with blood around her mouth, hands and feet with a cruel look on her face. This is a result of Esperia cruelly killing Svoli in front of Pep during the events of Perseverance: Full Clearance, this episode of post traumatic stress disorder makes Svoli both angry and determined to keep Pep from leaving, binding him in a spear prison and throwing him down to the nearby wall with unreal force. She wakes up only moments later, mortified... and looks to her hands.

Ascension of the Cupid

Svoli's Serazen form, as revealed in the fight with Xali.

Early into disk 2, Svoli joins Esperia and her son in a battle with the letter of endings. The battle starts well but it's clear after a while Xali is playing with them, and unleashes a fissure of shadow energy that hits Svoli semi-fatally, while Esperia rushes to heal her wounds, Pep goes to show Svoli that his death was a self-fulfilling prophecy, ignoring her when she pleads him to stop. Eventually, she uses a divine spear to pull Pep out of harms way, but the damage is done. The SOULBEAM technique he used uses power from his own SP field, and he used so much in the blast that he had brought himself to the point that it could no longer regenerate, and he had only at most an hour left to live. Svoli asks Esperia to take him away for medical attention, but her real goal was to annihilate Xali, knowing pep was dead regardless, she used the soul power within him to unlock a forbidden form, determined to annihilate the evil child.

The Apotropaic Goddess

Svoli undergoes deification, becoming an Apotropaic Goddess.

APOTROPAISM is a form of forbidden power that has similar properties to that of the gatekeeper. With this power, she utterly turns the tables on Xali, with the Imperian only surviving due to a well placed trap and ungodly resilience. In this form the hatred comes to the surface and makes her sclera appear black, with only pink dots shining through as eyes. Her six serazen wings are overtaken by seven wings that cyclethrough the a rainbow of bright colors, similar to the gatekeeper's appearance cycling through bright colors.

Her attempt to annihilate Xali ends in failure ultimately, and ready to die, she slies ready to cease to be, but at that moment the Insidious Architect shows up, saving her life.

back on the starship, she is made to face the consequences of her selfishness and illegal transformation, with Esperia losing patience with her and snapping her ego in half, revealing to Svoli that with this act, she's absolutely no different from a soulcatcher. Svoli finally breaks down in tears, and is able to see past herself and genuinely forgive Esperia.

KaraProfile

Moonlit Katana

Kara Marx[]

An aspiring hero and a swordswoman of incredible prowess who traveled from Thailand to her home in Britain. Kara is a somewhat shy, optimistic and unfulfilled albino Khao Manee with photo-sensitivity and a passion for bettering herself. Her symbol is the Three Clubs. She is designed after shonen protagonists who are known for their sword art. She wields an Ethereal Katana that can cut through almost anything and is almost always seen wearing a pair of sunglasses.

In Disk 2, she is able to finally reunite with her brother Kiet Marx, learning he was still alive and tracks him down to Planet Draik, where she also watches him die at Xaela's hands. This was done by Xaela to lower the potency of his crimson demon. Kiet returns ascended not long after, seeking to give his sister the peace of mind she had been seeking for decades. Completing an arc that started even before the Era of Perseverance.

RollyProfile

Green-bean-love-machine!

Rolly Dorito[]

A happy-go-lucky green beagle with a large belly and larger appetite, Rolly is usually always in a good mood and happy to help. Despite his presumed mental disadvantage, Rolly is incredibly perceptive to social readings. His symbol is the Sparking Truffle. He specializes in hand to hand melee combat and uses his signature "Rollout" ability to close the gap between him and his opponents, and maybe flatten them a bit if possible!

After being freed from the Archangel Barachielle's grasp, Rolly goes onto almost die alongside Pep due to Tristy's powergaming which fails. Pep uses most of his energy to heal him, and Rolly carries him back to the Deployment Beacon and beams up to the Starship where Pep is given immediate medical attention, and Rolly too.

Ohp6

Rolly's uncharacteristic brooding.

After the destruction of Earth, Rolly is brought to one of his lowest points, with only Pep's sage insights to cheer him up. However, the destruction of Earth's worldsoul meant that neither Rolly's life nor his youth could be sustained in earnest. He is still alive, but is much easier to upset and agitate, as is shown when Esperia chides him and his friends for improper use of the Starship's amenities.

It's revealed that Rolly has a tendency of sleepwalking and sleepsnacking which has lead to trouble in the past. While Tristy realizes the danger, Pep largely thinks of it as a fun game, but does seem to duly worry about the danger his sleepy sojourns put him in. It is only Sacreblu who snaps them both out of this idea of coddling his behavior, showing herself very capable of laying down the law if she needs to.

TristyProfile

The developer often jokes that she is the kangaroo. This is mostly to poke fun at her home country of Australia.

Tristy Heals[]

An artificial kangaroo with superhuman intellect and an unwavering trust in herself and those close to her. While she may appear bubbly on the surface, it's hard to ignore the weight behind her more morbid statements. She suffers from existential phantasmagoria and has learned for her sake to have a bleak outlook on existence. Her symbol is the Blueberries. She is one of many splicing experiments created by M.F. Lazarus. She regards him as her father, but he often tries to deny that, as it is only true on a technicality.

27 To Dodge a Bullet ~Tremendous Hubris

Tristy is a menace in battle.

Tristy's trust in people and herself is a power source she can use to effectively game the system, and she has done so as early as Disk 1 in Intelligence: 314th Clash. She alike Pep, Rolly and Limbo has the power of Intelligence, a power that can change everything. She's one of the most blatant wielders of this power, often using it to benefit her friends or self.

She seems to have a chip on her shoulder over Fyori shooting her during the events of Intelligence. She finally pluck up the courage to ask Fyori if she is ever intending to apologize, to which Fyori flatly states she wouldn't, because she isn't and never has been sorry. Tristy learns to keep clear of Fyori after this point, realizing that Fyori was far too self-aware and apathetic to ever compromise.

She spends a lot of time on Disk 2 hanging out with M.F. Lazarus at Apophis Labs, an area her finale optional event unlocks.

LyzaProfile

Alien? Now that's hilarious!

The Exile Lyza[]

Exiled from her home planet of Galaxia over 900 years ago, Lyza has left her criminal life behind, though that streak certainly still shows in her to some degree. Her symbol is the Destiny Egg. She serves as the end of disk 1 boss, with her DENUI Saint Sophia possessing her.

Sophia's plan backfires when Tristy outwits her, and then after a fierce battle, Koko intimidates jer out of her host, Lumi mercifully disposes of her as a thanks for her cooperation. Lyza admits she is impressed by Koko's gambit, and she returns with the Angels of Hope to the starship.

In Disk 2 she returns to Galaxia to speak with the True Administrator at the prodding of the Fantasia girls, and even ends up meeting her old room mate.

Zardari Bringer of Apocalypse

Despite his insurgency being over five centuries ago, the Anarchic Annihilator's rampage still haunts Galaxia to this day.

This however, is not accomplished without some conflict, with Adashi and Orsa tailing the exile, prompting Mayeena to tail them to ensure they did nothing stupid. She informed Tac on the way, and Spooky also arrived on the scene, seeing the events from one of the starship's many monitors.

She defends her room mate from an attack by Orsa, seeing as her room mate was the Galaxion scientist M.F. Lazarus, who was simply on the soveriegn for a trip down nostalgia lane. M.F. Lazarus was responsible for matter dissolution technology, and is also the inventor of Xeraphon, Zardari's sword. This sword was used during the events of the Menagerie by Zardari to decapitate Orsa, Mayeena, Adashi and pretty much the majority of Galaxions, including the entire directorate save Tac and Asarath.

Eventually, Sacreblu intervenes, reprimanding Orsa and Adashi. With Talismina ordering them to the Reformatory to think how they might have been able to handle this better. Lyza thanks Tac for her hospitality and vows to make a life here once she's served her duties in the cosmic defense force.

She can often be found on the Starship hanging out with Spooky Schema, the two seem to genuinely enjoy just talking about random crap with each other. Spooky serving as a knowledgeable source on the present-time Galaxia while Lyza having a more dated understanding creates a vibrant bubble of cultural conversation that only sometimes deviates into talking about bizarre sounding cereal.

NolaProfile

The Witch Hunter

Nola Worthington[]

She's the first icon collected in Disk 2, while she has no DENUI due to Akra Olna removing it so she may unleash the full potential of a witch hunter, she still desires to spar with the Fantasia girls for the sport of it.

After being satisfied, her teacher Akra Olna admits the skill of the Fantasia girls, and offers them another opponent in the form of Renae and Cathy. Before that can happen, Nola is catching up with Pep, and states they should go find a nice coffee shop on Earth to go chill out at, Pep admits that Earth is gone thanks to the Insidious Architect, this news puts Nola in a fairly dour mood. She leaves not much later to go get a hug from her adoptive mother, Svoli.

A while later after Xali has made her entrance and Svoli unleashes her apotropaic godhood, Nola is shocked and wonders how she got such power. Curiously, she is absent for Pep's funeral, possibly knowing how little death means, or possibly due to not wanting to accept his death. Only she knows.

34 Silhouette of Justice

Nola during her prime.

Her optional event series begins with her wanting to give Svoli a present to lighten the stress, to which Lumi suggests they find her long-lost mother, which Svoli mentioned just before her DENUI came to the surface. With help from Tiramisa and Xaramitsi, they find Svana and reunite them The nice moment is cut short by an appearance from Xali, who states that she's here to kill Svana to remove the Angel Gene Y'vanas from the board. Upon some very intimidating words from Svoli, she instead decides to play a game, giving Svana or one of the others a chance to kill her within seven days, and if they should fail, then Xali would do so herself. This however, was merely a ruse, shortly after Xali exists, Xaramitsi warps in and shoots an atomic slug through Svana's chest, killing her instantly. Tiramisa harshly reprimands her Devil Genesis, and this seems to scare Xaramitsi into submission, but the damage is already done. Not much later, Svana reappears for her daughter, stating that she would never leave her again.

Later on, Svana and Svoli can be found conversing on Sanctuary, but if the event where Svana moves her luggage up to the Starship is not yet done, Esperia and Svoli can be found talking instead. Svana is yet to be seen on the Starship, but the developer has mentioned this is something she intends to correct in the polished Demo 3 build.

WizardProfile

Galaxi-O's Poster Boy

Spooky Schema[]

Often going by "The Wizard" or just "Wizard", Spooky is a non-chalant overly flippant to the stridersonian degree kinda smartass kid despite at this point being at least five centuries old. He was one of the heroes from the Menagerie and died alongside his mother at the end of that game. Knowing how little death means though, this essentially made his death fairly pointless. It's uncertain what role he plays or even the Afterlife he chose, but given his dialogue in the Menagerie, it seems he had the Necropolis in mind.

28 As Directed - Album Art by Apoc

Spooky as illustrated by Apoc, back in his prime during the Menagerie.

Even finding him can be difficult, with the task only made easy by Fyori's rapport with his mother, basically bringing forth a bill that would render the use of 'wizard' as illegal a nickname. The perfect bait for a kid who lives his life around gags and quips. It's eventually revealed after some hijinks that Spooky was being possessed by the Immoral Messenger. After Lilac singlehandedly frees him and proves her capabilities to the Immoral Messenger, he quickly becomes friends with the Fantasia girls.

He made a deal with the Immoral Messenger, she would ensure his planet is spared under the condition she be allowed to puppeteer him for five minutes. This seems reasonable until it becomes obvious that five minutes for the Immoral Messenger is a lot longer than five minutes for him. However, after seeing Lilac unleash her Sanguine Ferocious Cataclysm, she states he is off the hook, as she'd gotten what she wanted.

Ohp13

Sadly, not a real cereal.

Later on, he shares some bizarre sounding cereal with the Fantasia girls, and then asks them to hang out with him on his homeworld, where they go see if they can find some funny memories, this takes a different direction when they find Adashi's memory of his death at Zardari's hands.

This leads Spooky to conclude that this memory was conjured for the sake of informing the True Administrator's brethren why they could never allow themselves to become what they were in the past, and asks the girls to join him on Postmartia to tell them what Galaxia had done.

VN TacsShame

Sacreblu and Spooky double-team Tac's Shame.

Once they arrive, Spooky illustrates the terrible burden his mother carries and the sins of his own people. Then out of nowhere, a bizarre looking being approaches him, this being turns out to be the Planar that possessed his mother back in the time of the Menagerie, and he decides to take care of it himself, telling the angels of hope to leave this fight to him and survive. His solo mission turns into a duet however, when Sacreblu arrives on the scene to help him out, she casts a barrier around the Fantasia girls before her and Spooky annihilate the planar being. It tries to escape, but Sacreblu destroys it before it can, sending its essence to the Afterworld.

Spooky thanks the girls for hanging out with him, and completing this finale of his optional events unlocks Postmartia.

LimboProfile

As the developer will remind you, this guy has been around long before Undertale!

Limbo Bingo[]

Found on Zen Nekoma, dancing with two Nekomata, he alike Nola does not possess a DENUI, stating Bubbles (The Aspect of Death / Grim Reaper) removed his, which falls in line with his storyline in Intelligence. He does wish to not only prove himself worthy of a place among the icons, but would also like to see how strong the Angels of Hope are, as well. After a flashy party-lights fight, he claims he is satisfied.

While on the surface he is jovial and cheery, often rhyming in verse during dialogue, he has a much more gloomy side which can go into full blown seething if the subject material is despicable enough. he still carries a chip on his shoulder with the Aspects, Sacreblu especially, but can put all that aside for the greater good. This might be shown best in some events on Fungaris where he asks Sacreblu how many skeletons she has in her closet, to which she at first responds with a joke. However, upon realizing he was serious, she assures him that the Blu he knew is dead, and that the present did situation did not come about by sifting through old baggage.

Ohp7

Drawing a star of projectiles literally. The developer admits this is one of her own dance moves.

Limbo sees how hard the Angels of Hope are working and pleads they indulge in some rest and relaxation, inviting them over to the world of Tekerlek where they go to Barnies' tavern to chill out. They meet some pirates of a rather silly nature there, and just as the vibes are getting good, the barmaid calls Limbo by the name he had in life, showing she knew him from before the grave, flustered as he responds back with her own life name, she darts off immediately, presumably embarrassed. Limbo follows in pursuit. Confused about the sudden circumstances, clarity comes with Esperia's teleportation in, who reveals that Barmaid was someone she knew like a sister, and like her- was a soulcatcher. She directs the Angels of Hope to the Deadman's vault where the now-called Anathema was stationed, promising the angels she would intervene if things got too worrisome.

Ohp

Just sleeping!

When they arrive, Limbo seems to be in a trance of some sort, with Anathema on a throne, piles of gold and other riches lay around the place, lacquered with stains of blood. After some worrisome antics, Koko's ENNUI Eisheth comes to the surface temporarily to ask Anathema to stand down. Anathema recognizes her as Satanifa: The First of the Grand Archdemons, and bows immediately, apologizing profusely for whatever she had done.

AnathemaSMurderousIntent

If looks could kill, she'd know it.

While Eisheth was only a fifth of Satanifa, her soul would have the same tincture. As a fellow Archdemon (the sixth) Anathema and other Archdemons have intrinsic knowledge of the original Archdemon Council. This is an effect of those Archdemons still having souls floating around in Heldath's well, and those souls attach themselves to beings worthy of their sin. For instance, Kloe in the Archdemon of Lust, and has the remnants of Asmodeus' soul within her, which gives her knowledge not many are privy. Unlike Esperia, Kloe nor Anathema are rulers, so they do not have the other measures to know of this history. Because of this intervention, and Crikey throwing Limbo some rum which he unconsciously snatches and guzzles, which wakes him up- he is able to explain the situation to Anathema and the two have a heart to heart. Anathema worried her choosing the Soulcatcher profession would make him think less of her, but Limbo assured her that it shocked him not at all, and would rather he live for herself than in his shadow.

Esperia finally shows up, informing Anathema of the success of Naxxy's restaurant, implying it might be a better way to go about her business. Anathema agrees and the incident is resolved, with one final hurrah at Barnies after Limbo realizes he'd lead the Angels of Hope into yet more conflict. This finale event unlocks Tekerlek.

TiramisaProfile

The Jade Tempest

Tiramisa Cookiedoe[]

She is Pep's grandmother and an independent type who mostly lives in her own catty way. She values her family but enjoys her alone time as well. She is the unwilling retainer of Xaramitsi who is likely responsible for most of Tiramisa's shortcomings in a big way. Tiramisa was introduced early in Disk 1, sitting aside Pep and his family at Naxxy's. What truly sets Tiramisa apart from the rest of her family (beyond having a naturally occuring fur color, anyway) is that she has a very bizarre way of handling grief and is almost a poetic existence. She deep down hates Esperia, possibly even more than Svoli does- but is happy to just accept that the universe will not cater to her, and for the moment Esperia is trying to help with a good cause. At most, her and Esperia have silly verbal spats of one-up-man-ship but they never really go anywhere. Unlike Svoli, Tiramisa does not see herself as a better person than Esperia, merely that the two are fairly incompatible. Tiramisa also is frighteningly aware of how much out there is bigger and badder than Esperia, giving her the context needed to see that Esperia is more a scared child who sins so she can feel good about herself rather than someone actively malicious like the Children of Calamity.

TiramisaJaded

Illustration of Tiramisa by ScomicMaker

Tiramisa's relationship with Xaramitsi is hard to really understand. She dislikes Xaramitsi's motives, but doesn't seem to mind her company, the two even have been seen to have epic sparring matches purely for the experience or joy of it.

Tiramisa is the progenitor of the Devil Gene, her son Sped inherited it from her, and then Pep did so from him. How she got it mostly came down to Seradath's (Aspect of Night / Lord of Heldath) curiosity. One of her close friends Svana had similar with Galdath (Aspect of Light / Lord of Galvana) which was passed onto Svoli, and then onto Pep as a result, allowing the existence of a Cherubim.

After Pep dies and consequently ascends, Tiramisa admits that in the face of what they are dealing with, a Cherubim isn't really impressive anymore, and is glad her grandson will no longer have to suffer for the Aspect's curiosity. Late in Disk 2, Tiramisa becomes a danger to the mission. the Fantasia girls track her down on Byteopia, where she admits her plan was to destroy the gatekeeper just to be certain it could no longer pose a threat to the universe. Pep scolds her, saying if that was possible, it'd have been done already. Svoli asks her to reconsider, and suspects she is host to something far worse than a DENUI.

Tiramisa Dramatis

Tiramisa warning her company that they should not have followed her.

Tiramisa admits this was Xaramitsi's idea, to which Svoli pleads she stops, but Tiramisa is too in her own head, but then the Angels of Hope challenge her, with the condition being that if she lost the battle- she would leave the place and never return. Tiramisa agrees, with her only ask being that they don't pity her should she lose.

After a rather visually spectacular battle, Tiramisa admits defeat. She also regrets to know that she might have simply been manipulated, with her own desperation for salvation playing right into Xaramitsi's hands. It's at this point that a mysterious girl arrives on the scene, the Queen of Shadows.

Simply curious, she asks Tiramisa is she'd be okay with allowing her to venture into her mind, Tiramisa agrees, and even allows her family and the Angels of Hope in , knowing that now, they'd already seen her at her worst.

With the Queen of Shadows, Pep, Svoli, Sacreblu and the Fantasia girls, Xaramitsi is found. When asked, Xaramitsi upfront reveals that her goal was to loosen the locks on the Gatekeeper's prison, stating that her own mission was a success, and Tiramisa's had miserably failed. After Xaramitsi says similar words to what Tiramisa did in an ominous way in Disk 1, Tiramisa decides to show the Angels what had happened. With it being revealed that Xaela invited Tiramisa into her coven and allowed Xaramitsi to be returned to her. This was ultimately for Xaramitsi's protection, as Tiramisa dying meant Xaramitsi would be erased from the system. To protect Xaramitsi though, Tiramisa had to stay alive, and so Xaramitsi protects her with the ferocity of a greyhound. How much of this is Xaramitsi's desire to survive and how much is her loyalty to Tiramisa is still a mystery, but there is at least some loyalty there.

Ohp2

Beyond comprehension, indeed.

Not long after, Tiramisa invites the girls over to Zirkov, to teach them the lesson she learnt the hard way. Revealing to the Angels of Hope that striving to remove negative emotions from the world will make positivity inert of meaning. It is because they struggled so much that joy had a luster worth seeking. She then shows this mindset in a fight with Xaramitsi on the Shadow-blackened Moon of Zirkov. During this fight, both Xaramitsi and Tiramisa show a frightening level of ability, especially in regards to the powers they have over time. An army of past and future selves arrive on the scene and a clash of major proportions comes about. None of the copies die, with both parties understanding this would create problems if they were to die here. Far as Tiramisa saw it, this was just some good training, and for Xaramitsi, it was sport.

Tiramisa realizes that she had seen this battlefield before, only from different vantages, with it being implied a lot of the times she did that bizarre green-black teleport ability, she was jumping forward in time to that battle. The developer more or less goes on to confirm this in a Collab stream with Twitch streamer Siletrea.

Other Major Characters[]

Some will be icons in future builds, while others are allies of Yi but unrelated to the ENNUI, DENUI, Kitsune or such.

EsperiaProfile

Esperia: The Eve of Futility

Esperia Frostwhisper: Esperia is introduced shortly into Disk 1, but her real colors don't show much until Disk 2 and onwards. Esperia is the Ruler of Spite, and also is in position of the Deadly Sin of Envy, making her a reincarnation of Leviathan. She is incredibly powerful, being one of the only characters so far that we've seen the actual system statistics for, doing this required her to use her diagnose ability on herself and broadcast the information via Holographic projection.

Esperiastats

Esperia's diagnosis on herself shown to the Fantasia Girls.

Esperia is about as high on the table as an ascended can be. Her status is all approaching maximum values, and her abilities are so many they barely fit on the page. As far as an ascended mortal goes, this is about as strong as one can become. The only people a large amount above her in power are those who have undergone Deification or are administrators.

Fyroi x Espy Ship

An illustration by Therrao showing the tender relationship between Esperia and Fyori.

Esperia is mostly playing a fairly passive role throughout Fantasia, with her serving as the Peacekeeper upon the Starship YHWH. Sometimes she is seen relaxing or ruminating at the Heart of Creation, a complex which orbits the Blue Sun. Esperia admits she has a contingency plan should the Children of Calamity rise to power, and given some certain apocrypha, it appears this plan entails sacrificing half of mortal kind to rejuvenate the system, but also to empower either herself or another as a Demon Lord.

Esperia has a very vindictive hatred for mortals that she generally keeps to herself, having become a Ruler and being forced to read Plight of the G0Ds in its entirety, she has learned of mortalkind's evils. While Esperia was once a mortal herself before ascending, she considers her mortal self a fool who could only do anything useful after she died.

Her girlfriend Fyori, is Sacreblu's creation and considered a daughter, but is so only on a technicality.

FyoriProfile

Pink Death

Fyori Felicee[]

Utterly unhinged and a subject of nepotism gone wrong. She has developed over the half millennia she's been alive in a rather unpredictable way. After serving her purpose in the Menagerie, which she was created for, she went to Spriteopia (her homeworld) to try and be there for her people.

Events of Flight[]

She quickly realized however, that they basically ran themselves and felt inert of purpose. So in a quest of self-discover,y she decided to explore her planet. This ends up with her finding the daughter of the Queen of Shadows, who had locked herself in a chest on the cloud layer to get out of chores.

This Mad E. Lin girl humbles Fyori with her powerful shadow magic, but spares her life, finding Fyori's floundering interesting. In gratitude, Fyori promises Mad that she'll try to talk her mother around to respecting Mad's independance. The two go on a journey into the Darkvoid, with a final confrontatio with the Queen of Shadows humbling them both, with Fyori only being spared due to Mad E. Lin standing between her and her mother's blast. This lets the Queen of Shadows see her daughter is willing to stand up for someone else, and even put herself in harms way. Respecting her youngling's growth, she forbays Fyori from coming down to the Darkvoid ever again, but allows Mad E. Lin to venture out so long as she can get her chores done before hand.

FyoriOldSchool

Her outfits were more modest before she got so bold!

Fyori then feels a great yearning, identifying it as Esperia, someone she met during her time in the Menagerie who left an impression on her. Seeking something or someone fun to hang with, she used her ever-expanding knowledge of her Nymphian abilities to create a corridor, leading her to Esperia. On the way she encountered Esperia's handmaidens, who upon learning of Fyori's intentions, opted to help her as winglassies.

Arriving at Esperia's limbo, after a crazy fight because Esperia is a bit of a wreck at this time, Fyori is able to win Esperia over who really likes Fyori, but is scared of her mother Blu. Fyori states her mother won't know, and the two have lived in a wholesome healthy relationship since. Fyori helps Esperia become a Serazai, and in turn, accidentally becomes not only a Serazen, but also one of the Lords of Sin, Sloth. Belphegor's prodigy. it's during this time at about Earth year 1712 that both also become Rulers. Shortly after, Fyori enlists in Corporation XVI, for she now had a reason to seek eternity.

Events of Intelligence[]

By this point, Fyori is utterly sick of her mother's shit. In some sort of test of guts, she's instructed to shoot down Tristy... what no one expected is she would wait until both Blu and Tristy were on the scene and use her shotgun (The Scrapper) to send her packing. This alongside Fyori's insults sends Blu into a rage, while she continues to mock her mother, she is eventually cornered, to which Esperia finds the courage to step in and confront the Aspect of Intelligence she fears, protecting Fyori from her mother's own attempt to kill her. The two would later go on to fight in the 314th Clash, where Fyori and her mother are able to reconcile.

Present Day[]
Ohp3

Fyori lectures Tristy about how moral ideals are often used as an excuse for selfishness..

Though her unhinged nature were already more than present in Intelligence, in Fantasia she's entirely in control of her emotions and is freakishly adjusted to how her mindset effects the cosmos and those around her.

The only time she isn't being instigatory is when talking to Esperia or someone she has no issues with. She's quick to snap at Svoli and Splode, almost killing the latter via asphyxiation.

She does definitely still care about her friends from the Menagerie, shown in her finale optional event where she, Gerald, Fatty and Spooky re-united at the dock of Evergrove where they all first met centuries ago. This unlocks Nadine, and an optional event later we see her stick up for Gerald, too.

AsheProfile

High Judge of the Dark World

Yamayoji Ashe[]

Yamayoji is more a title that translates roughly to 'High Judge of the Darkworld'. Ashe is her name, but usually she is refered to as The Enma or Lady Enma. She has lived since the time of Eden, she was the curious girl who openes the box containing the soulgem with Xalatath's essence contained. She immediately regrets this decision, and miraculously manages to reseal it. This impresses Nuo, the Aspect of Time, who assigns her as the Yamayoji and to guard this box. Later on after the Shattering of Eden, she is rescued from the destruction and given immense power by the Insidious Architect, and assigned as the Warden of the MAMIX, and to be the only person beyond IA and her twin sister who was allowed access to Xalatath's prison.

Warden of Eld

The Warden of Eld

She has undergone deification. IA programmed her to enjoy her new purpose, but still left memories of her old self intact so she knew how dangerous Xalatath was. While it is hard to say if she is as strong as the Twins, she appears to be much stronger than the Children of Calamity, with her only holdback being how to deal with them on a permanent basis now that they are immune to destroy and erase commands. Ashe knows killing them will give her a chance to rob them of the majority of their power, and almost succeeded in this regard against Xaela on planet Draik during Kara's finale optional event, with Xali jumping in to deflect her Death command with her scythe and help Xaela escape in the nick of time.

Ohp4

During the fight, she disables the ability to attack, skedaddle and defend as she methodically picks off your party members one by one.

She is first introduced in Disk 2 after the events on Zen Aneia. it is possible to answer her poorly, which will initiate a very overdone gameover sequence where she systematically destroys each of the Fantasia girls and imprisons Sacreblu. It is revealed to Delta_tester_X333 (the stand in for the player's identity) that this was why M.F. Lazarus took control of their session, it allowed him to sacrifice some of his particles to bring back the clock to just before this critical juncture, allowing the Player to choose correctly next time.

After this point, Sacreblu gives her a purpose to replace the old that she had accidentally taken away by destroying the MAMIX. Ashe concedes that it is not a bad idea, but remains skeptical. Over the course of Disk 2, Ashe starts to slowly and surely soften up, and is shown to like Tea and have a weakness for pudding. She at first finds Sacreblu's loving manner sappy and obnoxious, but later calls it infectious and comforting. She begins to see Sacreblu's intentions are deep down noble, and starts to act more in line with the cosmic defence force.

QOSProfile

The Progenitor of the Shadow Pixies

The Queen of Shadows[]

Easily the most powerful mortal who exists. She is said to be 400 billion years old, and was originally a Cloud Nymph like Fyori before she and her followers found a way to move into the next cycle, which could only be described as a somewhat destructive process.

Ohp10

An illustration by BlueTarte of the Queen of Shadows.

She is even more powerful than Esperia despite never dying or ascending. She is proof that given time, work and endurance, mortals can be on par with Gods. Despite this, she is incredibly humble in most matters, and one of IA's close friends alongside Akra Olna and the Enma. It should tell you something that even her daughter who has an aversion to hard work can still kill most people she encounters in a single attack.

Despite her power and age, she is terrified of death. As a cloud nymph in her youth, she never had to fear it, until she learned of Re-origination. She managed to escape death via that, only for her to know even now that she could not run from it forever.

KloeProfile

Don't be fooled by the silly choice in "clothing", she is not someone you should tangle with carelessly.

Kloe[]

While only being one of Esperia's handmaidens, she has some major story beats and has several optional events that pertain to acts with lasting impact. Most notably, her campaign to repopulate the Nekomata.

One thing about Kloe is that she is a bad person to underestimate. She plans on people doing this due to her reckless nature and she often flip-flops between speaking in first and third person, not only to be endearing- but to lure her prey into a false sense of security, thinking her intelligence isn't all that worrisome.

Kloe is one of the Grand Archdemons, taking after Asmodeus, and she is far more dangerous than she lets on.

During an episode of sleep-deprivation Koko stumbles across her, and despite being shown to be more or less aromantic and arosexual up until this point, she falls prey to Kloe's charms more or less immediately, with only some attempts being made at reasoning out the situation, terrified- Koko calls on the power of Eisheth Zenunim, who takes over and casts a Temptation Nullification spell on Koko, allowing her to talk to Kloe without Kloe's temptation being a problem. The funny part of all this is Kloe isn't even trying to charm Koko, she just naturally radiates alluring energy of that manner and magnitude. This is when Koko begins to understand how how unbelievably dangerous she is.

Ohp5

Kloe showing her dark side.

Later on Zen Aneia at the Shrine of Yaruri, Kloe teleports in using a Helgate she spawned there in advance, even one like Nanianne is entirely bewildered by Kloe, even making a comment about her dress code. This is when kloe shows Lilac and Lumi both that she's not afraid to play dirty to get what she wants. She asks for Nanianne's assistance in repopulating the Nekomata population. Lilac assumes that Nanianne would be used as a surrogate mother or something like that, but the reality was that Nanianne's status as the Ruler of Wisdom made her the hard counter to Xeltara, who is the Ruler of Brutality. Nanianne agrees to help Kloe to the surprise of everyone else, including Kloe herself, citing that to ignore the plight of the Nekomata purely based on the standards of nobility is an act of indolence, this shows Nanianne is not in agreement with Akra Olna's extraplanetary inaction clause.

NanianneTurnsThemIntoSheep

An illustration by RiseDemos, showing Nanianne's mass polymorph while Kloe cackles like a sadist.

On Zen Nekoma, Kloe and Nanianne work ceaselessly to rid the world of its Xeltara infestation, starting with her followers, who Kloe asks the Fantasia girls to destroy so it stands as a permanent solution. Nanianne polymorphs the fleeing followers into sheep, allowing the Fantasia girls an easy means of dealing with them.

Among all this, they find two survivors, one young Nekomata girl named Raira and a Fowlhunter named Rosalie who was not among the followers. Kloe sense Xeltara's presence, and insists they walk up madman's ascent to get the fowlhunter and her adopted sibling home. Robin, the sister of Rosalie shows up, who scoffs and said she'll fly, instead. Kloe threatens to kill her outright if she doesn't obey her instructions, with Nanianne backing up Kloe stating there was a reason she was advising this.

About a stone's throw from the Rise of the Avian, Robin loses her patience and starts to fly off, with Kloe using an ability to freeze her in place, saying "Brats like you really are the worst." before Rosalie demands Kloe to let her sister go. Kloe decides to let them see what will happen, since she's tired of having her good will trounced on at this point, and merely says not to say she didn't warn them. As Robin flies toward freedom, she is swooped down upon by Xeltara and punctured fatally, falling limp to the ground, proving Kloe's point. Kloe stands in the way of Xeltara when she goes to attack Lumi, and after Xeltara calls her bluff,

SaveRobin

An illustration by RiseDemos showing the battle on Madman's Peak.

Nanianne shows her the danger she's in. While Xeltara seems undeterred, Xaela appears through a portal and requests Xeltara not put herself in such a risky situation. Nanianne and Kloe both admit surprise at Xaela's defence of Xeltara, to which Xeltara explains that her comrades are people should would be ready to die for. While Nanianne expresses disbelief, Xaela doesn't care what Nanianne thinks, saying her opinions and judgements were useless to her.

They continue to Rise of the Avian after Xaela leaves, and then finally have the showdown with Xeltara at Dark Dancer Plaza, with Anathema, Esperia, Fyori, Kloe, Nanianne and others showing up to combat Xeltara, who this time ends up fleeing on her own terms. Anathema had been helping behind the scenes, and was able to convince Yasondre to create a bunch of male Nekomata children, with the agreement being that so long as Xeltara didn't show up for a month, the Nekomata would then have to raise these kids to adulthood, and the fragile species could repopulate.

Through this whole adventure, Kloe and Nanianne become very close friends. With the final event on Zen Nekoma showing the two of them, Esperia and Fyori, Anathema and Senshi and the Fantasia girls enjoying a fireworks display.

Embodiments of Newfound Unbridled Instinct (ENNUI)[]

Unlike DENUI who are many and seem to be attached to mortals who might become too ambitious to slow down their advances, ENNUI are very few in number and instead uplift their hosts with a desire to do good and a compassion which more or less makes them life-long friends with the lucky few who have them sharing their soul. The ENNUI are so limited because they are the remaining fragments of Satanifa when she was shattered by the Twins in a long distant past. Four of them were bound in garments and placed in long-standing celestial bodies. While one escaped the Twins grasp and went on to find M.F. Lazarus and that one ENNUI is responsible for most of the events leading up to Fantasia. Their names are based on the Sacred Angels of Prostitution from the Zohar Kaballah

NaamahProfile

The Lunar Hare

Naamah[]

Sometimes referred to as Zen Naamah or High Priestess Naamah, she represents Justice of the cosmos. She is oft called the Lunar Hare, and her garments were stored in a large stone vault that a quadrillion or so years later wold collide with Earth and become a satellite. From this collision, the resources needed for life were found, and Naamah's spirit made for herself a collection of followers who would later call themselves the Usagi. They all worship Naamah without complaint or anything but conviction. They constructed burrows they would lead to their underground city. These burrows were latter hidden as asteroids pelted the lunar surface. When Man landed on the moon, they took some of the Usagi's children back with them as well as planted a strikingly patterned flag which the Usagi decided to leave there. The rabbits Lumi summons as projectiles are summoned from Naamah's moon, better known as the Lepusion Lunar Annex. Naamah's appearance and location is based on the Rabbit of the Moon folktale popularized in both Chinese and Japanese media.

EishethProfile

The Solar Monkey

Eisheth Zenunim[]

Sometimes Grandmaster or Loa are used as prefixes for her name, she represents the Fear of Knowing. She is often referred to as the Solar Monkey and takes major inspiration in her design from Sun Wukong. Her soul fragment was sealed within a star that would later become the guardian of the Vermillion Solar System and Earth ended up right in its Goldilocks zone. The Simaja are her faithful followers, and likely have been so since a traveler of some sort, Monkeet (Primordial Life Form) in origin either accidentally flew into the sun or sought to investigate it knowing the danger. Eisheth protected this wayward simian and blessed it with the ability to walk on the sun's surface uninhibited, and from his blueprint she created many more, who would become her followers. The Simaja built an impressive fount of information and knowledge they'd call the Solaris Archivium, with the Pagoda Library being the core hub of that esoteric wisdom. Eisheth has had an uneasy time gaining her hosts trust, with Koko not knowing that Eisheth's fiery rampage was done to protect Koko from a terrible trauma going even further downhill. Finally the Immoral Messenger steps in and reveals to Koko what actually happened, and while this only makes Koko more afraid, she finally taps into Eisheth's power at a time where she had little choice.

MahlatProfile

The Sanguine Bat

Agrat Bat Mahlat[]

Lilac and Agrat bat Mahlat have a very close connection, with Mahlat serving as one of Lilac's only knowing friends of her condition that she has been afflicted with since age eight. The two often bicker, but in a jovial way that is evidently not designed to carry any real animosity. Agrat's soul fragment was locked away in a supermassive blackhole at the centre of what is now a sun-barren galaxy. Through some miracle, some stellar bats ended up crossing paths with Mahlat and from them she bore herself a swarm of Disciples. They would later come to call themselves the Cholepteroi. Agrat bat Mahlat has heavy influence from Dracula and other vampires. Both her design and her hosts have a victorian-gothic style, with Lilac's long sash even fanning out to resemble bat wings.

LilithProfile

The Coruscant Snake

Lilith[]

Dwelling within a Nebula surrounded by a filigree of matter and an immense energy shield. Lilith represents the intelligence of love. Though its unknown how, she has amassed a following of Winged Serpents who have french accents and wear french-style clothing. They are called the Serpentesai, and dubbed their High Courtesan's habitat 'Esoteriqueois' (Or Place of the Esoteric, roughly translated.) Lilith might be the only of the ENNUI to take more inspiration from the Sacred Angel of Prostitution that inspired her namesake than something else. She is also the only ENNUI to be completely unaware of her hosts existence. Only finding out when Sacreblu comes to her, and later when it's revealed that Sacreblu has a DENUI which had been suppressing the connection between Lilith and Sacreblu. Akin to mythology, this DENUI is named Eve, who wants to bring the Garden of Eden back using the present universe as a foundation for the return of her home. Lilith is one of the ENNUI that not much is known of. It's likely she's one of the more powerful ENNUI given that she has four angelic wings, all of which seem to be windows to various points in spacetime.

LucifraelProfile

The Ebony Swan

Lucifrael[]

Based on the Demon Lucifer, the major difference being that what little we know of Lucifrael suggests she is an arbiter of Hatred and payback, meaning she may have switched placed with Satanifa among the council of Grand Archdemons as Wrath, with Satanifa very much being a demon who relishes the sin of Pride. Lucifrael despite her secrecy, is one of the largest players in the grand game of the cosmos, she is obsessed with getting payback on the Twins who split her from her sisters and preserve the Surreal Cosmic Progeny mortals traded so much for. While her host M.F. Lazarus also wishes to preserve the cosmos, his motive for doing so is different. The relationship he and her have is hard to even speculate, there has yet to be any dialogue traded between them in game, although she did speak with Naamah through M.F. Lazarus in one pecuilar scene, where she seemed fairly cordial.

The Kitsune[]

Introduced in Disk 2, the Kitsune are a race of multi-tailed fox girls who live in isolation on a world called Zen Aneia. The name means 'Boundary of Elemental Balance' in the Insidious Architect's native language, which is said to be a demonic sounding variant of Japanese. The planet is under the protection of IA, and has never been subject to Re-origination. Their power is decided at birth, as is their number of tails. The more tails, the more power. They are a very static society, never having enough people to expand beyond a small kingdom. As a result, they have lived in relative harmony for quadrillions of years in an area smaller than an earthen territory. They are not expansionist because they don't need to be, nor are they minimalist because their population never really goes down, it just only increases by one person every 600 billion years or more. In total, the Kitsune population is said to be at about 400, though only eight are confirmed to exist in the span of the game.

RenaeProfile

She Brings Light

Renae[]

A two-tailed Kitsune with orange hair and eyes, she wears a fluffy cream sweater with blue striped tights that go to her ankles. She is holy-elemented and serves as both a foil for cathy but a good contrast to her Shadow as well.

CathyProfile

Purple Prankster

Cathy[]

A three-tailed Kitsune with mild purple hair and bright pink eyes. She wears a pale pink turtelneck sweater with a large yellow stripe going across the midriff and elbows, her legs are mostly bare save for a bair of blue jean-shorts. She has a mischievous personality and enjoys playing pranks, though most of her pranks are at worst messy or embarrassing. She is shadow-elemented and hangs around Renae like a sister.

LilyProfile

Lily of the Valley

Lily[]

A four-tailed Kitsune with blue hair and eyes, although the eyes have a violet gradient. She wears a white sleeveless gi with pale pink trims and custom adjustments made to support for larger breasts. This goes down to below her knees and is suspended at the waist via a blue obi and tied with a dark blue obi-hime. She wears white yoga pants on her legs and has white sleeves suspended at the upper arm, similar to a shrine maiden. She wields two pale blue fans. She is water-elemented and serves as both a caretaker for Renae and Cathy, but also benefits from their energetic natures to keep her own element in balance. She has a humble motherly presence but can quickly change face if she feels threatened.

ZephyrraProfile

The Wind-God Girl

Zephyrra[]

A blusterous four-tailed kitsune who lives in self-prescribed exile after she discovered the Celestial Yaruri was merely a cover for a much darker being. Her strength and power for a four tails is absurd, and she is often called by her title of Wind-God Girl, which can only have one presume she's much stronger than most four-tailed kitsune, possibly even able to hold her own against Warmistress Remira.

RemiraProfile

The First of the Crimson Demons

Remira[]

A six-tailed Kitsune who thoroughly enjoys lounging around and hanging out with Nanianne. She has brown hair and deep red eyes, and in some instances, bolts of red lightning can be seen dashing around her tails. She wears a red turtleneck sweater with a pale red decal of a heart that has a hole on its left side and a bite mark on its right. On her legs is both a pleated mauve skirt that goes to just before her knees, and mauve leg warmers that flare out at the bottom and are suspended from above the knee. She has a very jovial personality and often argues with Nanianne, though its evident they both care very much about each other. She is the Warmistress of Zen Aneia and Akra Olna's Right Hand, meaning she is often the one who has to lead offensives in the rare cases they happen.

NanianneProfile

Neurotic Modeus Syndrome

Nanianne[]

With eight tails, she is the second most powerful Kitsune in the Kingdom of Zen Aneia, falling only short of Akra Olna. She at first appears as just an eccentric neurotic magician with a bizarre idea of romance. It's later discovered that she is the Ruler of Wisdom and can as a result, provide a service to Kloe in her efforts to repopulate the Nekomata of Zen Nekoma. Her Ruler of Wisdom title grants her the Ruler Class Authority: WISDOM which allows her to see someone's entire history at a glance. This however, also happens in ways she is not in control of, leading her to discover Lumi is entirely innocent and leads her to trust the Fantasia girls as well as Kloe. She wears a mix of a wizard and witch regalia, the notable features being a witches hat and a white scarf, from which two pieces of blue cloth dangle with have dark blue runes enscribed along them. She has purple-turquoise gradient hair and tails, her eyes meanwhile are a glassy pale blue that is almost silver.

AkkyProfile

Regent Lady of Zen Aneia

Akra Olna[]

One of two Nine-tailed Kitsune. Akra Olna is the Regent Lady of Zen Aneia. She wears a mauve croptop with the sleeves and bottom cut in the shape of palisades. Her yoga pants are mauve and also have the palisade cut, and also have a khaki cream waistline within which lies a gemstone. It's revealed in some apocrypha that this gemstone or button can be used to interact with the Insidious Architect despite whether she is hooked in to the simulation or not. Akra Olna has long two-tone hair of black and white each side, with large tails tied in red hair tubes. She has racoon eye face shadow alongside freckles. Her tails hair is a gradient blend of purple and blue, with pale blue plasma dashing around, excessively when she is stressed out or angered. Her eyes glow and seem to go from a gradient of purple to green. On her feet she has oriental sandals with biege-gold platforms and mauve straps. She is the most powerful Kitsune in Zen Aneia, rivaled only by her counterpart L'soiv D'pes. Her name is an anagram of Nola and Kara. Both earthen cat people who have been on her planet. She has taught Nola as a Witch Hunter for half a millennia. Her Right Hand: Remira, is the first of the Crimson Demons, which Kara's powers descended from. The Crimson Demon's powers are a gift from Khaora: The White Tiger, while Nai, the Black Ocelot tends to bestow the gifts of a witch hunter. Both of the shrines to these deities are within the Kingdom of Zen Aneia. With only Morzan: The Golden Crane's shrine being in Morzan, The Shrine of Yaruri: The Azure Dragoon, sits between the two, existing in a place between the borders. Akra Olna portrays herself as a stoic leader who cares deeply about her people, but when she gets to know the Fantasia girls better, she lets this mask slip, revealing a more fun and foxy side that she often hides.

LsoivProfile

Regent Lady of Morzan

L'soiv D'pes[]

Akra Olna's counterpart, a nine tailed kitsune. Her and Akra Olna were born at the same time, both with nine tails, so they initially ran the Kingdom of Zen Aneia as a joint effort. However, after Akra Olna sided with Yaruri, who was the Insidious Architect by another name, L'soiv left Zen Aneia and with some like-minded kitsune forged the Kingdom of Morzan after the name of the shrine. It's difficult to say if there is any true animosity between the two, or if it is just a matter of priorities, but they do not speak badly of their other in any case. L'soiv D'pes is beautiful in a different way to her counterpart. She has a brilliant cream-orange coat and her tails occasionally spark with pink or white streaks of lightning. Her eyes are a brilliant golden color, and she wears a reddish-pink yukata with pale pink trims and a dark-mauve obi. Her yukata has dark mauve patterns in the form of assymetrically truncated circles at the front. Her legs below the Yukata are covered in white socks, with eastern-style sandals similar to Akra Olna's serving as her footwear. L'soiv leads the Fantasia girls to her kingdom in the guise of a fox, welcoming them to her palace, with Zephyrra, Cathy and Renae serving secretly as messengers and informants of her. It appears she fell on hard times, as her home is in a desert, and lush as the captial of Morzan is, that enrichment is courtesy of a pact she made with Xaela. Xaela tricked her and acted as Morzan, and was able to manipulate L'soiv D'pres into marking her people as potential planar. Xaela later proclaimed her intentions, but warned L'soiv D'pes that terminating the contract will be worse for her people than simply sticking by it. L'soiv laments that Morzan is a stand in for the Immoral Messenger, who had never once cared or shown interest in her people. As a final powermove, Xaela corrupts the shrine of Morzan, forcing her people to worship Xaela: The Evil God, instead. L'soiv D'pes' only comfort is knowing that Xaela would be defeated one day, and only then, will she terminate the contract.

The Children of Calamity[]

Introduced in Disk 2, Xali and her fellow children of calamity quickly took centre stage as cosmic villains. While it is revealed that all of the Insidious Architect's schemes were done with the intent of delaying or defeating the children, it's too late by the time Xali makes her entrance. When the Insidious Architect arrives on the scene, she tries to erase Xali, and this fails. The Insidious Architect is then wounded by Xali's scythe and brought to her lowest point, aggravated, frustrated and emotionally raw, she tells the Fantasia girls that she wished they'd never met, and that they were dead to her. This later turned out to just be excess venting, as she begins to become more mild-mannered and even hospitable towards the girls, believing maybe they can achieve an ending which will make everyone happy.

The scene where IA snaps shows just how deeply her pride in her role as the Embodiment of Terror had prevented her from being smart about how she could have approached the Fantasia girls and offered them the godhood they rejected. However, when she asks if now seeing what they have, if they would choose any differently, the response she receives is telling silence, proving her point. She considers the entitlement of mortals an incurable disease that has lead them to a future of torment.

So far, six children of calamity are known, but only four make appearances in game so far.

XaliProfile

The Herald of Calamity

Xali: The Letter of Endings[]

Raised from birht on a savage world where only monstrous and toxic behaviour would see you survive, Xali is the only Imperian who survived the Locust War, which according to Apocypha- is the name of a genocide the Insidious Architect comitted on the Xerxanese peoples. Xali's power is terrifying and unusual, being able to conjure various things from two decks of tarot cards, two XIII DEATH cards summon her iconic scythe, all other combinations so far remain a mystery.

The Letter of Endings

Charging at her foes at high speeds with her iconic scythe.

She wears a dark violet Kimono faded and weathered from time, with a pale purple runed obi. The chest section of this Yukata has an ominous X drawn into it, representing her ties to Xalatath. She is pale peach skinned and has black hair tied up in a loose bun with two silvered chopsticks and a cross-cut hairband keeping it in place, some of this hair escapes out the bottom side of this bun and swishes in the wind. She has four discheveled bangs with two on the far sides. From these bangs, her pointy ears protrude from behind. She has deep purple eyes with fifteen smaller pupils of a paler purple inside of them all encircled by a pitch black iris. From these pupils she can use her Evil Eye abilities, and looking into her eyes can kill or paralyze most mortals with sheer dread, while some will collapse and scream, but are otherwise unharmed. On her left cheek is a hashtag symbol, likely an artifact from her life on Xerxana, and due to her glitched nature, she has solid black chunks of material framing her face from behind her hair. Xali is an absolute menace, and enjoys watching people's reactions to her evil. She is still weaker than the Twins and Ashe, but otherwise, is utterly beyond reproach.

XaelaProfile

Previously Nuo: The Aspect of Time from Eden.

Xaela: The Eldritch Mortician[]

Technically the one behind Xali's existence, Xaela is the corrupter of Xerxana and its population of once shamnistic people, turning them from shamanism to savagery. She is almost as old as the Cosmos, and commands an army of cthulu-esque horrorterrors. Because she absorbed the Evil Genome Xalatath which was an essence forged from mortalkind's entitlement and evils, she has undergone Apotheosis and is called an Evil God. Before she attained this status, it's revealed that she was the Aspect of Time and went by the name Nuo.

Xaela Dramatis

If she would see you dead, then you will be. You'd be lucky if she only kills you.

An aspect of time does not exist post-Eden, she is the last remaining Seer of Eld, with her other seers: Artemis, Tapati, Anat and Savatri being erased by the Twins during Satanifa's rebellion. She wears an unusually tied purple kimono with a part of her obi falling off from her waist, the chest area of the obi has a white cthonic horror painted on it. Se has her short lavendar-pink hair in a tidy bob with a golden hairband affixed near the front which her elven ears protrude from behind.

She is one of the most powerful Gods, having access to her old powers over time due to her heritage as Nuo, as well as her abilities as the Ruler of Hatred, and this doesn't even tap into her roots in cthonic mastery, to an extent that in some Apocrypha, she regards Cthulu as her pet. Then there's also her ability to read multiple people's thoughts at once, while retaining complete focus of the field. She is a terrifying opponent and basically the unwinnable boss monster of the cosmos. Only insanely powerful beings like the Enma or the Twins able to threaten her.

XeltaraProfile

Ruler of Brutality

Xeltara: The Unholy Butcher[]

A brutally intentioned Fowlhunter originating from Zen Nekoma, where she was exiled for her violent and toxic nature. Xaela found her shortly after befriending Xali. In some many universal cycles after her exile, she executed her revenge on the peoples of Zen Nekoma, recruiting a few fowlhunters who had a similar taste for violence as she did, she laid waste to a trading village that served as a multi-cultural hub between the Fowlhunters and Nekomata. She and her followers kept the place burning for weeks, and hunted down nearly all of its citizens.

RobinPinnedDownByXel

To say she's sadistic with her victims is putting it lightly. Illustration by RiseDemos.

Following that, Xeltara left to go and hunt down any other Nekomata she could find to be her prey, with only about forty of them surviving her rampage, and none of those number were males, meaning she had effectively brought the species to a dead-end extinction. Xeltara has dark blue hair and talons with pale blue plumage. Her claws are dark grey or black. her skin is tanned golden brown and she has black sclera housing golden eagle-like eyes. She wears bright violet sweatpants and a sleeveless croptop of the same color with magenta trims. Like all fowlhunters, she has small wings in place of ears, and hers are pale blue like the rest of her plumage with the exception of her tail which is a brilliant purple color. She like most of the Children of Calamity, despises the idea of having a war for any silly reason like morals or justice, instead thinking mortals should fight for the very sport of it! Her savagery is feared throughout most of the cosmos. She is the most physically oriented of the children, all of her displays so far being entirely brutish in nature.

XaramitsiProfile

Nuclear Nightmare

Xaramitsi: The Atomic Biowulf[]

Born from Tiramisa's independance and iron will, and given form by Heldathian magic courtesy of the Aspect of Night: Seradath. Tiramisa was haunted by the Devil Genesis that had started using her body as a host, with no good intentions, Xaela mislead Tiramisa into an exorcism, which Xaela used to draw the majority of Xaramitsi's conciousness out into a sealed jar, before leaving with this potential new ally. While Tiramisa lived in relative peace after this moment, Xaela had provided Xaramitsi a means to live by her own agency, teaching Xaramitsi how to create a body for herself using Heldathian infusion, and feeding her Zomite (or hyper-condensed strange matter) as a means of sustenance. Evetually she was able to use Energy Drain, which allowed her to sustain herself by taking the souls from the living and ascended alike. Once Xaramitsi had become fairly independant, Xaela invited Tiramisa to a dwelling, where Xaramitsi was able to return to her initial host, while also allowing Xaramitsi the ability to manipulate Tiramisa into doing things that would help out the children of calamity.

VN BigBadWolf

An illustration by RiseDemos, perfectly capturing the Nuclear Nightmare's evil.

By late in Disk 2, it is shown how dangerous Xaramitsi had become, both as an independant person and as a toxic influence on Tiramisa. Xaramitsi has olive skin with some freckles, her hair and tail is a dark sickly green that is almost black, and she has dark sclera with vivid green eyes within them. She has buck teeth before several nasty incisors line the rest of her jaws. She wears a black outfit which takes clear inspiration from a shrine maiden's attire, with green trims and detailing. She is an absolute menace during the events of the game, and brings the Earthen Humans one person away from extinction, finishes off the remnants of the Zirkovian people, and also kills Svana, Svoli's mother- which in turn erases Y'vanas, the Angel Genesis Svana was hostess for. Xaramitsi is ordered to protect Tiramisa, as Xaramitsi will cease to be if her host is terminated. She seems to consider Xali her real mistress, with Tiramisa merely being her past mistress which she shows only some loyalty towards.

AstarothProfile

The Demon Queen of Betrayal

Astaroth[]

Not much is known yet, as only mentions of her have been made. She according to Esperia, was the first and so far only Demon Lord. Apocrypha such as Plight of the G0Ds shows she was a major player in the Great XIIth war that the Children of Calamity instigated.

She is one of the most well-endowed of the soulcatchers, while her Pamphlet is in the game files, it like Esperia's, Fyori's and many others, is currently unattainable.

It appears at some point she joined the Children of Calamity, which likely is responsible for her title of the "Demon Queen of Betrayal". The best guess for her shift of faith probably comes with her age, being one of the original Grand Archdemons. This means she would be wise to the Plight of the G0DS and in addition, how the system seems to be losing out on energy due to mortalkind's evils and ambitions. Her goal in the Children of Calamity can only be guessed at, but it might be similar to Esperia's- to bring power back to the system.

That or she opposes the mythical figure known so far only as "White". White's goal is said to be the destruction of the system in order to bring mortalkind's evils to mean nothing. White's only mention is in the Glossary in Plight of the G0Ds, so knowing if she even opposes Astaroth is mere speculation.

Astaroth is the Eighth Deadly Sin of Entitlement and the Eighth Grand Archdemon, created to prey on mortals who were overly-entitled.

XenrasaProfile

The Scarlet Rager

Xenrasa: The Scarlet Rager[]

Found only in one piece of apocrypha, she is a third nine-tailed kitsune that Xaela stole from Zen Aneia and has corrupted since birth. She has grown up around Xali, Xeltara and Xaela, and later Xaramitsi and Astaroth. She wears a dark blue gown which is open at the front, with the seams being cut in a similar palisade crop to Akra Olna's outfit, though much less pronounced. She under this wears a dark blue bikini with dark blue thighhighs which like her gown, have blue trims. Her skin is a pale desaturated blue color, her hair and tails is mostly black with streaks of mid blue. her tail has red lightning dashing around it. Her hair is short and spikey, with its only length being in two pony tails at the back that go down just below her shoulders. Her eyes are a deep blue, and the pupil is a luminous white that gives them an eerie cyan sheen at the edges. Her face has primal markings similar to Akra Olna. All that is known about this being is that she can consume the cores of worlds, causing them to become black dust and slowly dissipate as a result.

System and Setting[]

The XIIth Dimension[]

The number affixed to it likely means it was one of the universes that formed shortly after the Shattering of Eden, this is confirmed when in an optional event chain, Fritti of the Simaja concludes that the Purple Sun is the grave of Satanifa, and symbolizes where she fell to YHWH's divine punishment.

The Universe is truly bizarre. It's canon that ever before the 314th Clash, oxygen exists in space. Lots of bizarre worlds and stars exist, including a Green Sun made up of Strange matter, although it's revealed Esperia absorbed its power a couple decades ago due to the threat it posed. The Earthen Humans did not have a good time in 2012 onwards, with the Ancient One Maw arriving to clean house, only a billion survived, seeking celestial shelter on ships the Bizjalan halfbreeds had created, they find a new home on the remnants of Nadine which they called Hope. In Fantasia, even this small sect of survivors is hunted down, with only one survivng, the rest being eaten by Xaramitsi.

The halfbreeds above were from Dimension IV, and were the ones who made the 314th Clash possible. They found the Fourth Wall that M.F. Lazarus has created, and used it to engineer many illegal ARTEF4CTS the Gods to this day do not know about. one of the most utilized is the PYR4MID, a handheld teleportation device that has four dimensions on each face, which function as maps, these maps can be used to teleport to a desired location with a pan and zoom interface. They are utilized heavily throughout late Disk 0 and Disk 1 to escape the Insidious Architect. Though they've seen plenty of use in Intelligence 314th Clash as well.

The Cosmos as a whole has a storied history, with mortalkind's desire for immortality being one of the major driving forces behind the Cosmos' various tragedies and triumphs. According to Plight of the G0Ds, mortals found a way in the time of Eden to manipulate the Soul Protection field of their planet to create power. This ultimately led to its eventual collapse, prompting mortalkind to plead Satanifa to sacrifice her own SP field to restore the world. Satanifa's love for mortals had her say yes. However, this was when the Twins intervened and after realizing Satanifa was happy to do this for mortalkind, they annihilated her, shattering her into five fragments, with only one escaping. The blast from the twins was so immense in power that the world of Eden was shattered and the divine energy expanded at a monstrous pace, with matter of all varieties being flung into every direction. To account for this paradigm shift, the twins walled of each collection of matter by guilding a large fencing matrix called the MAMIX (Shorthand for Matrix for Apoptosis Mitigation and Imprisonment of Xalatath). This would stop the matter growing further and further away and all dying out, instead letting gravity collapse it all into the centre into a Blue Sun which from its birth a new MCP would create a new aspect council to put the universe together from the pieces. This came to be called Origination, and the Aspect of Creation, named Origin after it. Every 314 billion years this cycle would repeat, with the help from a superentity known only by 'The Gatekeeper' who would be summoned upon the Six Ancient Ones behind defeated, meaning the Aspects would often try to get mortals to work against the Ancient Ones, with them oblivious of the real goal they're purporting. The Gatekeeper's power is beyond measure, able to disassemble entire galaxies into lose matter in mere seconds. This matter would then be grossly effected by the Blue Suns mass, which would suck it all in, imploding into yet another blue sun with all of the matter being shot out into the universe to be built from again. The 314th Clash effectively stopped this cycle and saw Origin and his darkside Niirgo sealed within a pocket dimension created by the same Bizjalan halfbreeds. In a way, this is them completing a self-fulfilling prophecy, as with these systems, the Children of Calamity could never pose a lasting threat to mortalkind or anything else. It was in this crusade of mortal wills that the MAMIX was shattered as well, enraging the Enma and making Blu, now-turned Sacreblu, an enemy of the cosmos.

The System[]

Only really known about by Rulers, the system is the code which governs the universe. It is that which implants DENUI into creatures, and it is also the manager of Sin Power, Rulers, Skills and Abilities. There are only a few beings who are outside of the systems limits, these are the Twins and in some respect, Demon Lords and Divine Virtues. The Twins are outside it literally, as they can grow their stats far beyond the systems limits, and the Twins we see are merely digital avatars they are projecting through the console. Demon Lords and Divine Virtues escape the systems limitations when they undergo apotheosis naturally, as they are too powerful for the system to comprehend. Unlike the Twins though, their existence is tied to the systems existence, meaning if the Cosmos ceases to be, they do as well.

As far as sin power, the system has to feel threatened by the existence of a person to give them Sin power. it does not matter to the system what justifications are used to excuse the action, all it cares about is that the action itself happened. A good example is it capping Blu's sinpower when she destroyed the MAMIX, as this is a large threat to the system and anyone capable of causing a paradigm shift from the natural order the system recognizes is punished similarly, with severity depending on the danger the crime presents.

Esperia and Fyori are both rulers, and they are because both of them challenge the very foundations of the cosmos, and are both extremely powerful. Them becoming Serazai and Serazen respectively marked them with 5 Sin Power, the rest had gathered before then. It's shown in the apocypha for Seraphim that using Sin or Virtue abilities also increases Sin Power by 1 point per use. This tracks to Fyori and Esperia, as both have a Sin Power, and Esperia has had hers a while. She has the Envy Skill, with Fyori holding Sloth. Anathema also has one, but due to her like of being personal, has likely never used it, hers is Wrath. Kloe also possesses the Lust Sin Power, but it only will bring up Sin Power if the target is one of cosmic importance that does not consent. Kloe has mostly violated regular people, which poses no real threat to the system. It would only have a chance of upping her Sin Power if she used it on unconesnting Angels or higher beings like Aspects or G0Ds.

So far, no Heavenly Virtues exist due to the original Archangel Council still existing in the form of DENUI. Though with their destruction, more and more of the Heavenly Virtue Skills are unlocked.

Vahnus[]

It starts out as the main world of Disk 0, with it at first being unclear if the game will ever take place anywhere else. It's never made clear where Vahnus was located in the universe. The only real clue is that shortly after their rescue, the girls saw the Planets Gaseous, Haven and the Blue Sun out the window of the Starship YHWH. Their sun was an amber color, however- before it imploded, meaning its likely there solar system was somewhere in the Origin Galaxy, but uncertain where.

The Milky Way[]

This is mostly where the Vermillion Sector (The Solar System) is located. Otherwise, this area is not widely explored.

The Origin Galaxy[]

Considered the central galaxy due to it's supermassive blackhole being the blue sun, this is an incredibly well explored region with three sectors available, with no doubt more in future games. This is where the vast majority of Disk 2 takes place as well as Late Disk 3.

The Sunless Galaxy[]

Currently it cannot be interacted with, it is mentioned by a member of the Cholepteroi that this is where the black hole of Dysmonia lies, the home plane of the Cholepteroi and the holding place for the shrine of Agrat Bat Mahlat. It also contains the Sunless Expanse, which will be the majority of main story and optional content in Disk 3.

The Gouda Galaxy[]

It's the galaxy where Splode, Bink, Fink and other ratfolk original from. This galaxy is not accessible in game and is unlikely to see the light of Fantasia. The only known world is Edam, with Splode being referred to as an 'Edamite' a couple of times. Beyond that, not much is known about the planet or its Galaxy.

The Afterlives[]

These are explored in pretty great detail in prior games. The Fantasia Girls need to stay alive, meaning that visiting the worlds after will likely not be an option in Fantasia. There are three afterlives, Galvana (Heaven), The Necropolis (A hedonistic neutral middle ground that is about enjoying the simple pleasure of life after death.) and Heldath (Hell). These all vary greatly from their thiestic interpretations. Galvana is better thought of as a utopia of good will, but unsavory sorts can also choose this place if they wish to lead a better life than they could in the old world. Heldath is also a utopia, merely based on the desire to hurt people, be it out of revenge or just fun. Despite their contradictory moral outlooks, it's quite common for Angels and Demons of both to make friends with each other. The Necropolis is somewhat based on the afterlife of Bhuddism, only it's based on self improvement through whatever fun you can think of, partying, dancing, eating, drinking, etc. It's the easy choice for people who don't have a really strong feeling towards good will or bad intentions. The choice of which afterlife one goes to is entirely their own, with the Tribunal of G0Ds merely serving to guide and inform about the true nature of these afterlives so they may ensure the best choice is made.

The Afterworld[]

Where that which is destroyed is sent. It's essentially the simulation's version of the recycle bin. For anyone but the Twins, receiving something that has been sent there is extremely difficult, with the Gateways M.F. Lazarus and his mentally-advanced pupils being the only known way beyond divine intervention to bring one back. The Afterworld is essentially the remains of Eden, instanced away in its own zone. The delete spellcard: Hakai, will return the data of the being to the Afterworld, but they are otherwise entirely destroyed. The Spellcard Shokyo is like holding shift when you delete, the data is lost forever. One who gets targeted by Shokyo will no longer exist. Only their energy will be returned to the System.

Visuals and Graphics[]

PJCRworks

An example of Pjcr's work and artstyle.

Dialogue and Systems[]

The game is in a very anime style and is full to the brim with custom assets, the Run Time assets of the program its made in: RPG Maker MV, more or less not existing. The game has two major artists working on it. One who is known most commonly as Pjcr or PJ. He is the portrait artist of the game, Remi-chan (the developer) takes his portraits and adds lipflaps or other small animations and these play in sequence to create a very fluid talking animation for dialogue.

Sprites and Logos[]

XiieIdleSprites

An example of Xiie's work.

FantasiaLogo

The iconic title logo by Xiie.

Meanwhile: Xiie, the other major artist, has multiple roles... She's first and foremost, the pixel artist for the game, and most of the tall sprites are credit to her. The only exceptions being placeholders and some of the newer sprites like the Queen of Shadows and Kitsune, which were done by HBgames user Coyotecraft to fill in for Xiie due to difficulty sending resources as she lives in the Phillipines, and her area had no internet service for a good couple years. She's also responsible for the game's title logo and several of the logos seen over various planets in the orbital selection screen.

Animations and Pre-rendered Cutscenes[]

SvoliCasting

One of Remi-Chan's many idle animations used throughout the game's pre-rendered cinematics.

Remi-Chan herself does have her art sprinkled through the game, and tried her best to replicate PJCR's style, though admits she goes too hard on detailing. Most of the frame by frame animated bits in the game can be credited to Remi-Chan. The game features several highly-intricate animated movies that are rendered in Sony Vegas pro using a variety of assets, including voice acting and animations.

Others[]

The Almi Concepts

Concepts of the Almi, crafted by RiseDemos from Remi-Chan's descriptions.

Other notable mentions go to RiseDemos, the concept artist for the CCC (Crazy Chimp Collective), as he has been helpful for various designs that Remi_chan didn't have the time or resources to draw. He's also responsible for several custom characters like Lily, Zephyrra, Rosalie, Robin, Rose and Raira, which Remi-Chan made a part of the Zen Nekoma or Zen Aneia storylines.

Vahnus

The World of VAHNUS, rendered by Apoc.

Apoc is the man behind most of the semi-realistic planetary and galaxy renders. He describes the experience as one where he constantly had to ask questions due to Remi-chan having so many bizarre worlds, such as Zirkov- but admitted the unique ideas were what made doing the work so thrilling.

The game has a very anime look due to the cel-shading of its character art, the crazy scenarios going on and the amount of monster-girls contained within it, Remi-Chan stated one of the only RPGmaker games she'd paid for is Monster Girl Quest: Paradox, which gave her a lot of ideas.

Influences and Inspirations[]

Remi-Chan (the lead developer) has stated that Fantasia is a mix of her favourite things, with the two major inspirations being Gravity Falls and Touhou.

Gravity Falls[]

Ohp12

The Gateway looks only slightly familiar!

Before she became her own character, old promotional trailers show Yi with a very Bill-cypher kind of voice, even to the point space and time warp as the voice goes distorted for various words. Remi-Chan described the Insidious Architect as a female Bill Cypher with something of a conscience. The fact she and the Immoral Messenger were twins was also likely influenced by the Twin Peaks pull that gravity Falls itself took inspiration from. The amount of triangular horror elements, including the Insidious Architect's eyes likely took huge inspiration from Gravity Falls. The tagline of the game even being a paraphrase of one of the lines spoken in the show.

Touhou[]

Ohp14

The Spellcard is the longest in the game, with the compression on the text making it stand out with thinner letters than all else.

Remi-Chan has indicated the inspirations behind each of the main characters was a split of characters from both. With Lumi Fuzz being a mix of Mabel from Gravity Falls and Reisen Undongein Inaba from Touhou. Koko Spiral being a mix of Utsuho from Touhou and Dipper from Gravity Falls, while Wendy from Gravity Falls and Koakuma from Touhou were used for Lilac. It's likely Lilac also has some inspiration from Remilia Scarlet.

The games soundtrack and location names might show this the touhou influences the best. With several tracks being named after or in a similarly over-the-top fashion to ZUN's various songs. Many of the locations are incredibly profound or verbose in their naming. If one is to open the game up in its engine, which Remi-Chan has said is allowed, all manner of these examples can be found. The Switches category might be the most telling, or in the name of the Major Spellcards used in battle that have their name displayed in pre-rendered mini-cinematics.

Others[]

A recent inspiration for Remi-Chan has been Kumo Desu Ga, Nanika!? or "So! I'm a spider, so What!?", with new lore introductions such as Rulers, Sin Powers and Virtues, as well as the Diagnose system likely being a response to that. It's also very likely Sin Power and acquiring 10 of it unlocking Ruler Class Authority is based on Taboo from that piece of media.

Ohp8

Color mechanics go brrr

Undertale was a large part of the inspiration for the bullethell color mechanics, but otherwise hasn't had a huge amount of inspiration on the game outside of M.F. Lazarus being a nod to W.D. Gaster. Lazarus was introduced prior to Fantasia in Intelligence 314th Clash though, so it's likely just a continuation from that.

Helluva Boss likely is responsible for some of the character writing and demonic elements, such as the reveal of the old Archdemonic Council all being named after the Seven Demons of Sin from the Binsfield's classification, although Lucifer and Satan (Lucifrael and Satanifa) has switched sins, with Satanifa being Pride and Lucifrael being Wrath.

Monster Girl Quest was likely pivotal in a lot of the designs Remi-chan made for the various monster girls that can be found throughout the game. It might have also been responsible for some of the darker plot elements.

Music and Sound[]

The game's music is all composed by Jake Gamelin, it's score is 110 Tracks long, with an extra six songs used as Music Effects. The OST has received a lot of praise for it's heavy use of percussion and strong countermelodies.

The music can all be played from a playlist hosted on the CCC's official youtube with no ads or hassle.

Just some of the album art in the OST.

Every song has a unique piece of art, the artists behind which are credited in the video descriptions. The art is usually based on the song's nature, for instance: Tristy's battle theme shows an image of Tristy in her battle. A lot of this art is by Remi-Chan, but she uses fan work whenever possible to help show she appreciates their contributions.

Reception[]

The game's reception is mixed between its core demographic and outliers who were mislead by the premise or genre. The game has rated well on Itch.io and Gamejolt, with some people absolutely adoring the experience. While others has less positive experience, mostly those who dwell within the web of people Remi-Chan has had a chip on her shoulder with for a decade.

It is very much a game based on the expectation people are willing to read, and is not a game popular with gameplay-first story-second enthusiasts. Remi-Chan admits that the game is one she wanted to make, and likely would have made it even if it appealed to nobody at all. There is a very specific demographic she is targeting, mostly those who love a good story.

The game commonly gets flak for some of its more amateur voice acting, but not in any way thats large enough to bring down the overall experience. The voice acting only plays in pre-rendered cutscenes and in battles, with Remi-Chan stating it would cost way too much time and money to implement it over the entire game.

While the bullet hell segments are often quite solid and mechanically fair, with some being very intense, they are only about a fifth of the gameplay, with the rest being spent between travelling across the place, dialogue and character events. This is a game that will not appeal to everyone, as it asks you to sit back, relax, and read into the story.

The story has also been criticized for how death is but a minor inconvenience in most cases, though Remi-Chan argues Erasure has merely replaced it, and that death has slowly and surely been made less worrisome over time in her games due to how the Afterlives and systems function. Though she admits it might certainly seem weird to first time players who haven't gotten all that mechanical foreplay out of the way.

In general terms, the game is well received by people who don't know it's made in RPGmaker, something Remi-Chan has often said she tries to make as hard to identify as possible. Most of its negative press comes from inside the mainstream RPGmaker Community who usually attack Remi-Chan's games without playing them, leading to their side of the debate often being taken less seriously as its hard to know if they are trying to offer genuine feedback or just want to downplay the game as a means of getting under her skin.

There's a following in the RPGmaker community who likes Remi-Chan's games for what they are, and don't have the aforementioned bias to tarnish their view of it. People outside the RPGmaker community in general will like it or merely dislike it due to it not being their kind of game, but will often admit it's well made and simply not their kinda speed.

Remi-Chan confesses she feels this is one of her more successful games, given that there was fanart of the characters before its first Demo even dropped, in comparison to Perseverance Full Clearance that didn't get fan art until after its full release.

Reasoning Behind Its Creation[]

Remi-Chan has stated that she liked the ideas explored in Late Intelligence, and wanted to expand on those, while also making her first boss rush game, in contrast to PFC which had lots of trash mobs. The idea was to make a more streamlined PFC, with less clunk and weight and more speed and spectacle. She over years created a story around that mold, with her admitting she had most of the plot already worked out by the release of the First Demo.

It like all of her games released so far: Is free of charge. The developer often says she just wants there to be more high quality free games on the market, though admits making it free also means she is not having to be held responsible for various things, like a proper age rating, using licensed music in the trailers and so on.

She quotes about 6,000 dollars being spent on the game up until Demo 3's release, stating that it was more a consequence of her own love for the game than any kind of budgeting or trying to make a profit.

She was inspired heavily by Touhou and Gravity Falls at the time, which lead to the designs of the Twins and the main cast. From this she built a complex story involving several founts of inspiration, including heavy biblical ties- to make a game she hoped would 'wow' people. She has said the ending will be on an epic scale with some of the craziest boss mechanics she has ever tried to tackle, and simply says: "Please look forward to it."
